Panasonic Lumix FZ72 bridge camera with 60x zoom only £219 at Wilkinson Cameras. They do free delivery too (over £100 anyway, so included in this). It's £349 at Currys!?

You can also register it with Panasonic for free and get a 5 year warranty.

DSLR with 1200 mm lens would be a bit bigger and a bit more pricey...

I bought this camera for £250 almost three years ago from Currys (after Panasonic cash back) - can't believe it's still this much. I've been reasonably happy with it, but honestly wish I'd spent a bit more and got a DSLR. Even more so after a recent trip to Iceland, where these are useless for the northern lights

I agree with you. Personally I see limited appeal in bridge cameras when there are great DSLR options now available at low prices. If you're going to lug around a big camera like this, you might as well have a DSLR that offers more flexibility for different occasions.

Different horses for different courses. It's like comparing tablets to laptops... depends what you want from it or what you want to use it for. If someone is looking for this style of camera it's a good price and it gets good reviews.

I bought this camera when it was going for £200 (I got it for £170 minus £30 cashback). I'm surprised the price has gone up, I would've thought this camera be below £160 by now.

Not a bad camera if you shoot in RAW and are prepared to spend a bit of time editing photos. Bought this a few months ago mainly for the large zoom and almost every picture needs some work to make it half decent. Still a good camera at this price though.
