Just bought this through John Lewis who price matched UK Digital (£169.00 + £6.95 delivery); with JLP you get a free 2 year guarantee. This is the cheapest this lens has been according to camerapricebuster. Excellent quality lens. Hope this helps someone.

Fantastic lens.
Great find. Can't buy it myself though because of banding on the Olympus.
Great all round lens. Used it during a recent trip to Venice and got some excellent pics.

I have both the E-M5 and the EM-10 II and have not seen any banding issues, even at high iso.
I have the predecessor, these are amazingly sharp, and being f1.7 means you can take pictures in poor light without flash
Had this lovely lens on my Olympis for a few years. Don't believe the BS about banding. There is none. It's also fast to focus.
Great lens, but not fast to focus due to how it's built . Not awful but have missed a few shots of the kids running about because of it.
Thought this was a Panasonic tyre lol

How do you find the Oly EM10? Currently trying to choose between that and Panasonic Gx7, any idea which is the better?

I've just moved from Panasonic to Olympus and couldn't be happier. I've got the E-M10 mark 2 which is great, I got this on a special deal otherwise I would have gone for the Mark 1 which can be found pretty cheap just now. The 14-42 pancake lens is superb and makes it very pocketable.
Cheers OP. Just bought for my E-M10. Hope the slow focusing some users mention isn't too noticeable.
Hey guys, hope you can offer a novice advice, I have Lumix G3 with 14-42 lens as purchased as standard. I'd like a lens able to cope with taking shot from a distance, current lens is good only close up. Will the lens in this deal be any good? thanks

Depends on just what you want to take photos of. If you want to make far away things bigger, you will need a lens with a longer focal length. ie more mm.
I suggest either the 45-150mm or 45-200mm. Both are available for about £150 or so. The 45-200 is a bit longer focal length, ie it will make things look bigger. But the lens is a bit bigger and heavier for carrying.

thanks vclaw, will take a look at those, thanks for the help!
If you want to get really close (wildlife shots) then the Panasonic 100-300 is also great. Bit more expensive, though.
Has anyone experience of the new 25mm 1.7 ?? ~£150!
Just wanted to say thanks for posting this! I did the same price match through John Lewis which went through fine. First prime lens, still learning how to use it effectively, main difference I noticed is the increased depth of field compared to the kit lens.
Damn gutted I missed this! Emailed the vendor and they said this price was a Panasonic special promotion and is no longer available If anyone knows a way to get the same price please share!
