Sorted now. Hukd automatically picked the gh5..,
Still an amazing price drop for this flagship camera (Wex selling at £1100). Be checking back in September to see if these orders are honoured.
Il be selling my Olympus EM1 if this G9 gets shipped
Maybe Panasonic is releasing a G10 soon ?_?

My bet it's an error in the listing and you'll get the DC-GX9EB-K shipped. Similar model name and is around the £500 price bracket.

Got my finger crossed for you though... Keep us posted.
Panasonic have done well to squeeze a large sensor into that tiny body.
Yeah this has to be a mis-price.

I've ordered 2 just in case
Can't say no at this price! Will be paired nicely with my 200mm PL! Thanks OP!
Usually dispatched within 1-2 months but still great price and worth waiting.
Should qualify for £150 cashback too

Cashback deal ended in June I think, otherwise it would have been even better!

It was effectivly going for this not long ago on a bundle deal - £600 lens + £300 grip for £1300 so this might be the current market value of this camera. Also the fuji x-t2 which is a fair competitor can be had for this. And many phones which im told by those with skillz are much better are also around this price.
There prices seem a bit random tho - this is 3 times now ive seen the G9 cheaper than the the g90

We've been looking for a smartphone with a micro 4/3 sensor - it will save me carrying around 800g in weight and around £1k in glass.

Please, enlighten us with these devices by those 'with skillz'.

It was limited deal, this must be some kind of misprice body is around 1k mark
We purchased one this morning but got Curry's to price match it so should have it tomorrow rather than the long wait with Amazon

same boat mate, apparently the google is full of proof phones are better and without the sensor size or quality glass.
I can only put it down to me being a bit backward and not being able to use the full potential of my phone. Coz when i use my GS9 its shat compared my cameras.....

anyway, its off topic. Just laying down a bit of morning sarcasm
seems to be at John Lewis too, but with a GBP125 rebate card as well. Am I the only one who doesn't like the Lumix interface though, much prefer Fuji in that respect. Heated tho

It seems to be £949 at John Lewis online.
I think what has happened is it's automatically price matched Argos who have listed it incorrectly here argos.co.uk/pro…027

They've listed it has a G9 but the pic and description appear to be of GX9.

Hopefully you all get lucky
sorry, thought they might price match, my mistake

Amazon only take payment when it's been dispatched.
Curry's price match and you get a lot quiicker
Almost thinking about a second body. Love the G9. It’s such an amazing camera.
Is this micro four thirds?
People who think phone cameras are as good as micro four thirds, crop sensors and full frame cannot have ever used one of these types of camera.
I am looking for my first camera, never used one, always used mobiles. Will this be good for me or too advanced?

sometimes they have.
The problem is they are all blinkered. They dont see the bigger picture (decent pun there). Its "i take pictures of trees therefore everyone does" or "I post to facebook so everyone does" and "I never look at my pictures so why does anyone need a camera"

Even seasoned reviewers and photographers fall into this thought process.

This is great value, but its a big camera and a bit overkill for non-pro use.
But if its in your price range (factor in lens's) its a fair bit of kit.

Thanks. Will this come as body only or with some additional lense?
Excellent camera body great for dedicated enthusiasts and pros. I bought one end of 2018. Quite complex menu system with lots of features. This would be great as a 2nd body for my system. Can't really justify it though. Steep learning curve required. I keep some index cards with in my bag with hints about menu use. You will need to get spare batteries if you use it alot

Absolutely unreal price for the best M43 stills camera.

Built like a brick outhouse too, this thing can take serious abuse.

Heat!

It's not a big camera though and certainly not overkill for non-pro use. Most pros use bigger cameras than micro four thirds.

This is technically advanced for a beginner but a great dslr for photography. You could stick to auto modes until you get to grips with it . There is a hack available to increase video recording times. Many features you may not use.
Good lens to go with this? Any suggestions please?
