I very much doubt that, do you have any proof to support your statement?

try googling the vendor's name and "credit card" & see what you come up with!

Add to that, I would not want to buy from a manufacturer that updates it's firmware to force you to use overpriced original batteries.

warning - tempting price is not everything on the net -- this site

I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole. Tried to order this very phone for a special Safari holiday. Camerabox kept promising next day delivery, finally arrived day after I left. When the camera arrived it was badly packaged and the memory card just stuck on a piece of cardboard. Didn't seem the real thing. Thank goodness paid through pay pal and got my money back.

New models coming out so this will get cheaper and cheaper...

For anyone going to the USA this is called the DMC-ZS7 it can be got for around £130 and the 29min 59sec AVCHD recording limit in European versions (more than 30min recording classes it as a video camera) is not activated and the charger is multi voltage.

Nonsense! Plenty of fully software compliant compatibles around from about £7.50.

You seem very out of touch spock1958 - you keep posting spoiler comments which are just plain wrong. Please check your facts before you mislead people.

Here's an Energizer one for starters:

Thanks for that Besford, want to get a Panasonic (TZ8 or TZ18) and that comment had me worried. Probably going to get the camera from a reputable company and pay a few pennies more, peace of mind is priceless on that amount of money :-)

VOID Camerabox !!!

Have a look at pricing on the TZ9 too. It's a DSG only model (Currys, PCW, Dixons) but has the larger, better screen of the TZ10 without the unnecessary bits (for most) like GPS. I have the TZ10 but would have been very happy with a TZ9. Has been just under £200 for a while but I suspect it will fall like the other 2010 models. TZ18 doesn't appear to offer much more except a higher price!

Read this. Feel free to ignore my warning, but would you want to take the risk? I can't see anything on the 7 Day shop page that GUARANTEES that Panasonic firmware will not render the battery useless.

I didn't realise that people were such 'fans' of my posts, that they read them so thoroughly to say that I KEEP posting spoiler comments.

I have a TZ10, I have several different non-original batteries, they all work fine. The underlying issue is potentially valid but has been overcome for some time.

Camerabox are widely known to deal with HK imports. Just google it.
