Lumix TZ10 Winner of the Best Travel Compact Camera 2010/11 EISA Award

The Lumix TZ10 has been awarded the prestigious Best Travel Compact Camera 2010/11 EISA (European Imaging Sound Association) Award. The panel stated: "The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ10 represents a big step forward for the company’s TZ series. Beyond all the auto and user-selectable specialised scene options - with new Pinhole and Film Grain modes - the TZ10 offers the more traditional P/S/A/M shooting modes for greater control and increased creativity. As a travel camera, the inclusion of GPS and geo-tagging is very welcome, while the 12x 25-300mm Leica DC Vario-Elmar zoom lens offers focal lengths for every occasion. The feature set is completed with AVCHD Lite video recording. And, better still, it all fits very easily into your pocket".

And what about the £30 cashback from Panasonic? This should bring the price of down to £177.60 surely.

Aren't best buy cheaper with the 14.89% cashback?

Best Buy are selling these for £217.99 so would work out £185.54 with 14.89% cashback and if you minus the £30 cashback from Panasonic it would work out £155 altogether if you are right.

Even better now...thanks for that.;)

I double checked Best Buy and yes Quidco are also offering 14.89% cashback as pointed out by YouDontWantToKnow.

After checking I see that the cheapest on Best Buy is actually £229.99 as the one for £217.99 is no longer available, so should work out about £165.75 after all the discounts.

Sorry should have posted the link to the one on Best Buy.

Even better than that, Lemonhead. The 5% discount code 5IMG (Quidco authorised) applies a further £11.50 discount! (plus Quidco 14.89%, plus £30 Panasonic cashback)

By the way, has anyone had any experience with Best Buy customer service and if so can they please tell me what kind of experience they've had? Good or Bad?

Best Buy does not appear to have very favourable feedback from fellow Quidcoers, actually the opposite! A google search also reveals problems with this merchant in the US. However their prices are keen and I will let you know if my order, finally accepted (this has been a big problem with Quidco it appears) actually tracks...and is delivered on time!

Thanks keepup, will try and watch this thread for your feed back.

Nice one, ordered - £155.96 if it all comes in.

This camera has been this price for several weeks on amazon, see other threads. I bought it from them, opposed to Best Buy, as I had some Amazon vouchers and I have always had good service from them, if I have any problems.
I have only had one opportunity to use the camera and I am very impressed the zoom, it is great as is the video. I saw on some reviews that GPS led to battery problems, but I haven't noticed it. However, just in case I bought a copy battery from DX for a few pounds. It is also worth buying a HDMI lead and a fast, large capacity, HD card.
Only criticism is the delay the GPS takes to find your location. It will find the town quick enough, but takes several minutes to give an exact description such as the name of a building etc.
Anyone thinking of getting one I would recommend it.

Update.
Tracked successfully at £32.53
This will be a great final price of £155.96 for the silver version of this camera if successfully delivered.(Amazon £229.99)

Update.
Best Buy customer services fail to keep you informed and fail to call back as promised, therefore not good.
Still awaiting camera... they are blaming delays on DHL and a backlog, although they are not informing customers of the delays (I was told that unfortunately I was one of the unlucky ones who had not been contacted if you wish to believe that!!)
Still will be a good price when finally delivered (we do have a contract between us)!
Will update further as and when...

Got mine Quidco tracked no probs.

You're lucky, Simes123!
Finally been promised for Dec 22nd (over one week late), we shall see...

Final update: Arrived Dec 22! with apologies for delay...so got there in the end...and the £75 saving made the less-customer friendly Best Buy worth the effort! Good luck with your purchases.
