Been this price for a while (shot up to something stupid like £250 for a day or two, lowest at £184 with free camera case). But it's the best price at the moment, so hot.

This might also be worth considering if you can stretch your budget a bit more. hotukdeals.com/dea…e=3

TZ8 only about £10 extra now

Fantastic Camera

Right - before it appears... the TZ8 is not the successor to the TZ7.

the TZ8 is the updated TZ65 its a lower spec camera to the TZ7.
For the price difference between the TZ10 and TZ7 its not really worth upgrading yet just to get GPS that tells you where you took your picture (waste of time).

Heat added greatprice for such a high spec camera

I have one of these. Great camera. Just a heads up for those that don't know, the video recording is limited to 15 minutes.

Is that dependent on the card? I have one of these but has only shot videos of 5mins max upto now. so thats pretty good info cheers

No its to do with tax/customs (etc) as under 15mins these still class as a camera so a lower rate than a camcorder.

It's 15 minutes per recording... so you press Record and it counts down to 0... then you can press record again and start over... the fact is you'd probably rarely record 15 mins in one go, you'd more likely press record, then pause, then press record etc.... each time it'd start the 15 min record limit.

Note that each time you press record to start then stop there's a few seconds while it writes to the memory so not quite as fast as a camcorder with stop/start recording.

Remember, it's not a full blown camcorder so has some limits in this respect.... I've got one and happy but one minor niggle is that when panning during video recordings it does judder a bit... a slow pan is ok but a normal pan can show this judder. I've seen this on many lower cost / basic cams. Results in AVCHDlite are pretty good though.
