Ordered one of these for someone the other day from the Reading branch of JLP. You can still get it direct with the 6 year guarantee if purchased before the 31 Jan 2011.

You have to get an under-sale done on the machine as it is currently with them at £490, however the local Panasonic store is selling them at £429.90.

You can do an under-sale online but will take longer than the 1 day you have to buy it. Or you can just buy it and run the under-sale after.

The reason being is that JLP are offering the 6 years parts and labour which is exclusive to them and will honour this with the under-sale.

I bought one of these from T C Hayes in Bearwood a month ago for £399 with a Panasonic 5 year cover thrown in .
Must admit its far better than that crap Zanussi thing it replaced , much better picture the cat loves it he sits for hours watching the washing go round lol

Got one and it's great. Really quiet and has a 15min quick wash for your smalls

I bought one and there's not much choice of channels, just the one with a spinning pattern that speeds up and slows down.

What about 3D, is it 3D?!

What about 3D, is it 3D?!

Nah! It's 34DD.

It's back up to £490.

Anyway, bought one myself about 3 months ago from JL hwo honoured a price match at £399 inclusive of the Free 5 years warranty. Absolute bargain!

As villan57, this replaced a crappy old zanussi! How technology has changed in the last 10 years. Not only good looks but its soooo quiet and so efficient.
With the warranty, this machine works out at £80 a year hassle free. Any more years after that are a bonus, but seriously even if this breaks after 5 years who cares ... at £80 a year you have a top-notch machine from a quality brand.

This warranty thing is odd. JL wouldn't price match on a TV because they offer 5yr warranty and said they'd have to add the value of that to the other retailer's price. Maybe it depends on whether it's JL's own warranty or the manufacturer's extended warranty?

It's the best 3D you'll ever see Almost looks like those clothes and water tumbling around are real. Without any need for those expensive glasses either. Just couldn't figure out how to change the channel

You lot made an old man chuckle on a Monday morning... thanks all

Lots of nudity - well, undies - whenever I watch.

Viera link?

This has not expired yet, says the offer runs until end of Feb.

Seems a bit contradictory that the website page for the product says only 5 years, but the pdf claim form says 6 years. What is that about?

Original Poster

Ok just for clarity as I said in the original post, if you bought this from anyone else it was a 5 year warranty. However if you purchased it from JLP they had an exclusive promotion for a 6 year warranty.

Ergo you gain an extra year for the price match to a bricks and mortar establishment.

I have looked at the PDF again provided by JLP and it seems that they have extended it for another 28 days to the 28th February being the promotion rather than 31 January as it was.

This needs to be unexpired; as with regards to it being cheaper at £418 as I stated if it is a bricks and mortar establishment then have an under-sale processed so you can claim the extra year warranty.

Warranty from any other establishment is only 5 YEARS JLP is 6 YEARS

Hello yellow plum.

Could you please explain what you mean by "have an under-sale processed".

Thanks.
