This has been £249 after Panasonic cashback from several places but most are sold out. The Gas Superstore still has stock and there is 5% code JAN15 which brings it down to £332.49 delivered (effectively £232.49 after panasonic cashback). Website says code ends Monday 5th Jan - still working now so its possibly end of Monday.

i think reading comments there is a higher probability of there being a problem with the panasonic then the samsung in the 5 year warranty period. it can take some time for engineer to arrive with parts or a new machine if written off and taking time off etc this is a big inconvenience to busy house holds but if it doesn't bother/affect you then go with the cheaper model.
also i think the panasonic model is an older model and likely being discontinued hence the cashback and guarantee offer

I bought Panasonic because of the 5year guarantee but it turned out it needed it because an engineer had to come out several times within a year before I got rid of it. Go for it if you don't have a busy family to wash for and don't mind being without a machine for weeks at a time!

What are these gas washers like? Only had electric before.

Great. Mine's just finished a delicate wash:

Would JL price match this ? They seems to have a store @ 64 - 72 Hinckley Road

silly comments above we have had one of these washers for 5 years! it's fantastic never missed a beat!

My Miele has done over 10 000 washes without a problem!

I looked at the Samsung thread but its not all positives for their machines either and someone posted this quote in the Samsung thread so they can't be that bad.

Korean brand Samsung has delivered some of the best washing machines … Korean brand Samsung has delivered some of the best washing machines we've seen. It’s also a favourite of Which? members, picking up an impressive four stars for customer satisfaction in our annual survey of more than 5,000 washing machine owners. This puts it on par with Bosch and Panasonic, and second only to five star-rated Miele.

Its a tricky choice but end of the day even if you go for the Samsung there is no guarantee it won't go wrong...... If you look on some of the "white goods" sites, washing machine repairers suggest that panasonic machines are robust but a pig to repair and a few years ago parts were difficult to get hold of. Hopefully that has improved.

go for miele, bosch or zanussi

german brands

Zanussi is Italian,,,

Gone for a Miele myself (delivery this Thurs), expect it to last an easy 10 years, but it's costing twice as much as this one - £232.49 for 5 years assured cleaning isn't bad at all, even if it does pop shortly after warranty. In reality, most warranty sorts build defects and niggles, once you're past the year, the failure rate of pretty much anything is much lower. Bosch aren't what they used to be - my 13 year old Bosch Maxx WFL2000 is going out to pasture on freecycle, it is a hell of a lot more robust looking than the current wave.

Well I've just ordered the Panasonic NA-140VZ4 from the above retailer. £569.99 with the discount code that ends today. Then
there is the £200 cash back, so £369.99 in total.
It was cheaper at PRC direct earlier in the week by £20 but overall good price.
Should be able to wash the sleeping bags and duvets hopefully with the 10kg load.

I've had no end of trouble with mine. John Lewis eventually exchanged it for a Siemens. Wouldn't buy another Panasonic. Should stick to making TVs.

Back in stock, but with a price increase Vouchers still work though! Ordered one for my Gran. Thanks for the deal OP.

£369 now with £100 off and JAN15
