Panasonic P42X50B 42" plasma w/ Freeview HD @ DirectTVs - £338.98

Yes, this is "only" HD Ready (*not 1080p) but it gets decent reviews and as always, a good low-res screen beats a bad high-res one (run this next to a "1080P" Cello or Bush if you don't believe me).

No 3D or smart functionality but a plain simple set with 2 HDMIs, Freeview HD, USB and SD card playback

Seems a lot for not a lot ?
So try and find it cheaper then. As it stands, this is the best price I've been able to find for anything close to this spec

FWIW, I reckon £338 for a 2012 42" Panasonic plasma with a Freeview HD tuner's not a bad price at all
Bargain....tempted.....could do with better spec - but this is cheap! Heat
nice find
Only 340 on Amazon....might be going rate for this tv...but even more tempted given Amazon
I've had one of these for a few months now and love it. Fantastic picture for the money.
I have a similar older model for the past 3 and half years and paid £500 for it, it is fantastic for Standard definition broadcasts and great with HD too.

For good value and quality with it your cant fault this TV.... For a Plasma go for a Panny everytime....

loads of tvs posted today but none have that x-factor yet. This maybe the Michelle Mcmanus of them all
The only thing I don't like about my plasma telly is the sound of the fan [/firstworldproblems]
Great bargain, only downside is the reflective screen. Some wont like its depth either but you don't watch a TV from the side (though granted it won't be so flush to the wall when mounted).
If you're not in a room with high ambient light and you're not overly fussed about having 1080p pretty hard to go wrong.

Exactly the same for me. Superb telly, superb price. Quality is second to none.
Pretty sure these are/were £278 in Tesco.

Maybe instore-only(?) offloading stock as OOS online @ £348:

hot this is what i call good value for a flat screen TV! most tv and game consoles still run 720p content natively so these are ideal for most content. panasonic plasma, enough said. low ranges still monster quality.

Not available online, so pot-luck what stores still have stock of sealed-box items.
Excellent price for this tv, I have a 37" 'hd ready' panasonic plasma and wouldn't rush to change it for any 1080p lcd or led tv
I have the 50" version and my friend has the 42". They are incredible value for money. Picture quality is superb. The only downside is there are only 2 hdmi sockets. If you are considering a new tv on a budget then just buy this, you will be thrilled with it when you plug it in at home.
Not 1080P COld.

There always has to be one ..
Looks good value at first glance but for £38 more you could buy a 3D smart TV
