Excellent price obviously it gets dearer with a lens most people are able to choose their own
Very nice price, cracking Panasonic deals this weekend.
Is Jessops a risky place to be spending this much on a camera atm? I thought they were teetering on the brink of administration?
Inflated Camera price in the first place, this price is about right

A full frame mirrorless body for £1400 is about as cheap as it gets without going grey or older models. The Panasonic has some high end video features too, not seen one this cheap. The Z6 was £1300 last week, the A7iii is about the same too.

You can get Sony a7R II for 1299 so not sure what are you talking about, surely better camera for money plus more lenses

Depends what you are after. A7RII is two gens behind current offerings. It can still take stellar photos, but for video this Panasonic should be much more advanced

I would practice your reading then sir. The a7r ii is almost 5 years old, has been updated twice and is well covered under my "older model" description.

Maybe you right, just my thoughts, is expired already anyway, I found it strange they have only one item in stock, same happened to other jessops deals in here today...
I'd want it to capture Jupiter's moons at this price.

Heat, great price for a very powerful camera body.
Although given most costs ends up getting sunk into lenses body prices have to be put into perspective.

And [groan] at the ubiquitous Sony comment.

It's quite a bit better than the camera you quote.
Seems to be a good camera let down a little by the cost of lenses.
Hmm hotdeals deleted my comment due to a word i used "s**t". So to paraphrase: i hope this camera doesn't disappoint me, the previous was a7. Now what lens should i buy for family photos

The panasonic full frame system deserves to fail if only for the ludicrous lens prices. Mirrorless full frame combined with falling camera sales seems to have turned manufacturers into mad, price gouging lunatics. £2300 for a 50mm f1.4 and £2600 for a 70-200mm f2.8, they are having a laugh.

Wow! Those prices are absolutely crazy.
I'd sooner dig out my old "full frame" 35mm SLR

That's true, sony e mount lenses are not cheap either but compare to Panasonic still a bargain, I am using a99ii with relatively cheap a mount lenses.
So of u get the mc21 adaptor tou can use cheaper ef lenses
