Best current and in stock price that I could find.

And I have just ordered a SD255 for myself.

The aroma of fresh bread in the mornings....Mmmmmmmm

Note - There is a brilliant Costco deal from 4 months ago, but alas, it has expired.

Good price. I've used mine virtually every day. I paid £39.99 for my SD254 around 2 years ago at Amazon.

Bully you are seriously missing out mate.

I had one of the original Panasonic breadmakers. It lasted for 8 years, putting up with daily use and abuse.

The bread is fantastic. Try it for yourself. The French bread is superb. C'mon get it out the garage. You wont regret it.

Our rabbit is our "Raisin/Nut Dispenser"....

I bought one from kitchen science just before xmas but it seems to be out of stock right now, same price as amazon but you can get cashback from them.

Ditto !

I have a Panasonic SD253 - had it for about 7 or 8 years, and it's superb. I tried a few other makes (trying to get a slightly cheaper on for my Mum), and had to take every one back as the results were very heavy and brick-like. I reckon the Panasonics are the only ones to go for.

We've had a Panasonic one in daily use since they were first available in the UK (£200 then & still worth it!) Friends have had cheaper makes but all ended up getting a Panasonic one as results didn't compare. Very highly reccommended & fair price from Amazon who have a good aftersales service too.

You can do but expensive that way & really not necessary - all ingredients easily available in the supermarket. The breadmaker comes with a book of easy recipes which are all tried & tested. You can make up your own batches of the dry ingredients in advance if wanted. Secret to perfect bread is to weigh your ingredients carefully especially the water. Warning - try the bread once & you'll never want to buy supermarket bread again which can be lethal for your waistline when it's so yummy & readily available!

Nope.

Just buy strong bread flour - dried yeast - salt and water. Thats it for the French loaf. Measure the ingredients, shut the lid, and press go!

Have a look at your manual/recipe book for more info. If you've lost the manual, I'll mail you some recipes.

Honestly, minimum effort, maximum flavour. Do try it.

I'd endorse all the positive comments - if you're going to get a breadmaker make sure it's a Panasonic - well worth a few quid extra.
