Looks good for the money.

I'm trying to see if Argos is a participating dealer for the warranty offer. (theres a review on Amazon that says that Amazon isnt).

Its not clear at all in the panasonic offer blurb.

edit - Just checked & Argos are listed as a dealer on the main panasonic website so Warranty offer should be good.

Looks great for the money:thumbsup:

I did check before posting the deal as Argos isn't always included on these offers but they are this time

Here's the page if anyone want to check the dealers that qualify for Pansonic warranty offer:

Reviews are sadly lacking - the "proper" reviews that is, from more expert people and with more detail like Tracy & Matt site or the camera sites :-(

What expert reviews there are are more critical, but none mention what I am very intersted in, picture quality, especially the low light performace - every SD Card camera so far that I have looked at seems very poor on this, (short of paying many hundreds!) and that's exactly what I want one for - indoors, family events, in pubs or retaurants or for videos of kids, dogs, the old folks!

Anyone seen a more educated review on this?

had this for about a year its small and easy to use but the video quality is poor unless you are upping a lot to youtube

Yes looked at most of these before - always a pinch of salt with this types as they are relying on getting the advertising in their magazines, and they don't say much other than what the thing looks like!!
I was meaning camera reviews - you know the ones, with pictures, video & technical data eg this type steves-digicams.com but they haven't had it through their hands :-(

Actually the PC pro review rather slates it too! "We're disappointed to report, then, that video quality is sadly lacking" sort of says a lot! :-(

Fair enough - I looked for it on Trusted Reviews and it's not there either.

Went to Argos and got the Sony DCRSX30 that comes with 4gb of internal 2memory and a free 4gb Sony Memory Stick pro duo mark2 card, for £154 plus the £10 voucher which I spent on a £20 camcorder carry case.

Really pleased with it, a good deal and everywhere else this camcorder is £180 odd.

There aren't many reviews on that around, but they are awful - Some pretty lousy video on Youtube too! :-(

Yeah, I saw some of the reviews most of them complaining about the quality of the photos at 0.8MP and to be fair they must have paid £300 odd from a sony centre, but at half the price it is decent in features, size etc... (they should use a really digital camera if they want to take pictures anyhow).

When imported into iMovie the videos look even better as it applies the video stablisation.

I had a test of the panasonic, and the sony felt studier.

trustedreviews.com/vid…30E
testfreaks.co.uk/dig…30/

There are a few people snapping this up for 150 odd plus 4gb memory stick, and £10 argos voucher and then selling them on ebay for £230 odd.
