For those of you out there looking for a top class 37" Plasma for an incredible price, you can do no better than this deal.

I'll be honest with you HUKDers, I held this one back while I was deciding on which TV to get for my son for his birthday and Christmas. I finally plumped for the Samsung LCD, but at a good £100+ cheaper.

Be aware, this goes out of stock VERY fast, but they do come in once a week though by the looks of things. At the time of posting it IS in stock.

Don't forget 2.5% Quidco which equates to £15 more off.

£584.99 for this telly is incredible.

Bear in mind that it is THE PANEL ONLY. You will need to buy a wall mount, pedestal or stand separately.

The basic specs on the TV are as follows :-

* 37 inches Television size
* Digital tuner with all Freeview channels
* PAL/NTSC progressive scan
* 1024x720 pixel resolution

Hope some folks on the forum get this one.

Do you know if they participate in the Panasonic 5 year warranty deal?

If so, this is a belter of an offer.

No. The 5 year warranty is an extra £189.99, but in my opinion The Sale of Goods Act should cover a TV for at least 5 years at no extra cost.

I agree! Personally, I wouldn't fancy that lengthy war with most retailers, however.

Empire Direct are giving a free 5 year warranty if bought instore, its £20 if bought on tinternet

The small claims court isn't that much of a hassle and I'm sure any judge worth his wig would rule in the customer's favour, even if the retailer doesn't cave in well before that.

There are some interesting articles in The Guardian ]here and ]here.

Its all well and good using the sales of good act, but while you are waiting months to get it resolved you are without a TV and you arent guaranteed to win the case either, just something to consider :thumbsup:

Damn, I'm looking for a bedroom TV and this is awfully tempting but my head says it is much too big. :?

My Panny packed in last month after only 11 months and I was without it for a couple of days short of 4 weeks (You're entiled to a new one at 4 weeks) with no replacement TV.
Warranties don't mean that you'll be pampered when all goes breasts up.

You're probably right, 32" would be more sensible unless you have a HUGE bedroom.
I recenty bought a 37" for my son and it's mammoth! Have a peek around Comet or Currys at the sizes before you buy.

I know they dont, but they do make it easier after 12 months, rather than trying to get the retailer to fix and then maybe going to court if they dont play ball.

If its only a few quid more for a warranty its worth getting on something like a TV, i wouldnt spend nearly £200 on one thats for sure, luckily my TV had a free 5 year warranty and it was the cheapest price in the UK when i got it anyway , a double bonus :-D
