I was just going to post this as a hot deal. Very good reviews for this Panny at now a very cheap price. Would John Lewis do a price match?

My Dad picked up the 37PX80 for £549 last week in John Lewis.

Great stuff - have the 42" PX60 and it is a fab TV.

This is less than half of what I paid!!!!

Remember this is the PX8 though not the PX80

Similar posted before big diffence between the 8x and 80x. For £50 extra I know which I would buy

Ignore, just seen vouchers

Was going to try and get them to price match Sound and Vision at £594, but when he rang and mentioned model no. they said it was already on a price match at £549! (this was Trafford Centre).

is this not the same tv cheaper and beter quidco?

Guys this tv isnt even 720p. It states the resolution as "HD Ready 1024x768 resolution", minimum res for 720p is 1280x720 (generally most tvs here are 1366 x 768 tho). That means horizontally your missing around 350 pixels per line...id recommend avoiding this tv.

Do 100hz plasmas suffer the same side effects as 100hz CRT's do - ie smearing etc?

Cheers

This is some half-HD TV, nowhere near 720p.

Wow. What a moron. Bring up a 2 month old post and then get your facts completely wrong as well. Retard!

Why bump a 2 month old deal? Anyways since you have the pixels are rectangular which accounts for lower horizontal pixel count. It and it's successor didn't win best 37" HDTV and a host of other awards for nowt.

Yes, and 'way off being 720p', unbelivable! 768p is MORE than 720p you clown.
