Not a Panasonic. Made by Vestel in Turkey and that's why it's being voted cold.

Get that, but it's getting decent reviews
from those who own it both on Amazon and Currys - Am I missing something here as I have ordered!

Not really. It's just that Vestel are renowned for making cheap goods that's all. Panasonic are a top brand who have earned their reputation by suppyling high quality and reliable goods. Because they see that they should be supplying products at all price ranges they undertake companies like Vestel to supply a Vestel product and stick a Panasonic badge on it. Perfectly legal but from a moral point of view there will be lots of people believing that have purchased a top brand product at a bargain price from their local supermarket. I hope one day to own a very nice BMW which I have set my heart on. I would be very annoyed to find out on purchasing my beautiful BM that it's actually been made by Chugga Chugga cars in China. For me this isn't right and has put me off Panasonic products period. They should take a leaf out of Sony's book which is if you can't be competitive at the bottom end of the scale then you don't trade at all.

At least if you buy and LG or Samsung you know it is made by them although the panels in them could come from a range of panel manufacturers and not just their own brand. It's also rumoured that a lot of Sony tv's have an LG panel and some models possibly made totally by LG and branded as Sony.

Erm, not a Vestel. This is a 2016 range which has no 3rd party manufacturers. Fair enough last year was a mistake rebadging vestel but this is why there is no low end 4K models by Pana this year
