43” Lg can be had for similar or cheaper. Panasonic is a rebranded cheap and nasty.
Didn't Panasonic stop support for its smart TV OS as well? Think it was Firefox OS..?

Mozilla stopped development of Firefox OS, but Panasonic took up development of it in-house after that (since it was open source software). It's still being used in their 2018 models, so clearly still in development now. They said at CES that they're working with Amazon to bring their video app to it, but they've been saying that for a long time in fairness. It's actually a really nice OS - just very limited in terms of app selection thanks to the fact that Firefox OS was a flop.

And this model isn't a Vestel rebadge. Though it's rather poor value compared to the 50" Philips sets that have been posted recently for around the same price, assuming you can accomodate the larger size. Those use the same panel supplier as Panasonic do for these and the processing paired with it is just as good.

This or the Samsung mu6400? (The 40" one that doesn't have the light bleed issues).

They're similar TVs, I'd personally go for the Panasonic but I'm not that keen on Samsung.
So it’s a coincidence Panasonic are the brand available in every Asda Black Friday deal on the cheap. Not because they are cheap and nasty.
