£499 at Currys
Is this any good? Couldn't care less about 0% interest, but wonder about the quality. I know Panasonic used to be awesome, but how are they nowadays?

Not everyone who is looking for TV deal has got PayPal account and I think paying over 6 months is still better than paying at 4 months period. Which makes this deal hot. There is also 40 inches same TV which can be had for lesser over 6 months period if some are interested I.e. like me.
As a panny plasma TV owner,I'd always set my mind on having a panny 4k tv until I saw them in the local PC world, what a let down, couldn't believe the quality difference between them and other 4ks, notably the Samsung's. The Panasonic's in my eyes, suffered a lot of motion blur, and they were more expensive than other brands. Decided now to go the 4k projector route as I don't watch live TV so don't need a tuner.

Tbh if you need to pay a £500 TV over 6 months you shouldn't be buying a TV.

Nope, just a poor edge lit LED TV, anybody coming from an old Plasma will hate it. The last good (outstandingly good) LED that Panasonic sold was the DX902 but they ceased the model at around April/May last year. Now it looks like they’re going with OLED for their high end screens.

You’re not going to get a good 4K TV for this kind of budget, stick with 1080

Pana more or less gave up on high end LED in 2017, OLED looks to be their focus. Don’t let the bright shop display of the Samsung’s fool you, they sh!t the bed completely in 2017, get them home and there’ll be light bleed all over your living room floor

Could the Samsung TVs in the PC World have been better set-up than the Panasonic ones? Maybe more 'ahem' commision/profit for selling Samsung ones at the time?

It seems unless the TVs have been correctly set up with user recommended settings from forums, then they look rather bad out of the box.

It does seem a rather daunting task having to get a TV nowadays, with so many settings in them and how they are set-up in stores. Well it is if a person cares what the image looks like, instead of buying blind on brand name etc.

It's a great tv but the default settings aren't good. Turn off all enhancements, set to True Cinema or follow the guide on avforums and picture quality is amazing.

Genius.

The fact remains if you can't afford to buy a cheap TV there is probably better things you can do with £80 a month. Like save for a TV.

If it's 0% finance isn't that the same thing as saving. But the fact remains, what does it have to do with you what people do with their money.
Ignore the snobbery this is a great 'entry level' 4K LCD TV.

Some people have already said turn off all the enhancements or set them to low and buy a size appropriate to your viewing distance.

I laugh at people that spend thousands of pounds Tv's

Who ordered diminshing returns?

0% is great. For a car or something else expensive. Taking out credit for £500 is silly.

It has nothing to do with me, but when it's on the internet I'm going to feel free to have an opinion and you can feel free to ignore it/have a cry/or make terrible jokes.

You've mistaken not as good for bad.

It can get 4.9/5 but if something else gets 5/5 then it's not as good.

I've not actually seen this TV in person, I'm just going by the above comments.

When it's paid off, your credit rating goes up.

I bought a DSLR for £300 on 0% over a few months when I was hard up.

I got to use the camera during the months I would otherwise have been saving up. That's sort of the idea, really.

My point is when people are hard up they should have other priorities. Like being less hard up.
