Panasonic’s GZ950 OLED TV is compatible with multiple HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, for cinematic visuals as the original director intended, powered by the HCX PRO Intelligent Processor. Dolby Atmos sound places you at the heart of the action, and its customisable Smart Platform brings you a wealth of online apps, including streaming services Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in 4K.*

OLED Screen
The Organic LED display doesn't have a backlight, meaning that each pixel is self-illuminating. Every speck of light controls its own luminescence for true depth and colour gradation. You experience blacker blacks, whiter whites, and a more lustrous display. With 8 million of these pixels, Panasonic's OLED screen delivers outstanding clarity of colour, contrast and brightness, within a blur-free image that looks just as stunning from any angle.

HDR with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision
HDR deepens your view and shows shades previously unseen in home entertainment. Expanding light, dark and every colour in between to extraordinary new levels, this model's picture gets closer to real life. This TV supports all HDR formats including HDR10+ and Dolby Vision so you'll always get the full HDR treatment.

4K Ultra High Definition
This 55” screen has four times the number of pixels than 1080p Full HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail.

Features:

HCX PRO Intelligent Processor: Panasonic’s most powerful processor guarantees stunning picture accuracy. Tuned by a Hollywood colourist it ensures contrast and colour authentic to real life to do true justice to the film-makers’ vision.

Dolby Atmos Sound: get more immersed in your entertainment’s audio with the cinematic, three-dimensional sound placement of Dolby Atmos.

Sport & Game Modes: specially tailored viewing modes to immerse you in the drama of the sporting spectacle, and to deliver a super-responsive gaming experience.

THX Certified 4K Display: this TV has been independently awarded THX certification by George Lucas' company for its high standard of cinematic home viewing.

Intuitive Smart Platform
‘my Home Screen 4.0’ provides quick and intuitive access to the content you want, with a huge variety of apps on a customisable home screen. Regular updates keep it up-to-date with the latest technology and content developments. Cloud services let you use fully-fledged, large-data games and a wealth of content services, so you can quickly switch over from watching TV to playing games. And it's compatible with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Youtube, who offer streaming services in 4K*.

Works with your Smart Assistant
This Panasonic TV works with Google Assistant and Alexa devices, so you can change channel, adjust volume, and more, with just your voice, using compatible smart speakers.

Freeview Play
This Panasonic TV features Freeview Play. Combining catch-up TV, on-demand services and live television, watching what you want, when you want, is now easier than ever. It’s free from subscription and is compatible with existing broadband services too. Services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and My5 are also available without having to open specific applications. This gives effortless scroll back so you never miss a second of your favourite shows.

Elegant design
With a thin OLED panel and slim bezel, the TV's sleek and elegant design is as stylish as its picture.

Perfect partners
With TVs getting slimmer and built-in speakers getting smaller, choosing the right sound system is more important than ever. Soundbars enhance your TV’s sound quality and add that extra audio punch to all your movies, games and TV programmes. More affordable and easier to set up than a full size speaker system, they don’t compromise on quality either.

If you want to connect your TV to a blu-ray player, games console, soundbar or soundbase then you'll need a HDMI cable.

Just got this delivered from JL getting them to price match RGB Direcf when £999 and £100 gift card. Phenomenal TV for the money!

The best way I can describe the TV is, it's not like you are looking at a TV, it's like you are looking through a window as the colours, skin tones, shadows, highlights and image quality are so life like.

Yeah because with a price match, you still order full price and get refunded the difference and order confirmation has gift card redemption on it. It may still be running but I am not 100%.
Awesome TV.
Is this tv any good for bright rooms and with wide field of view?

This TV is not good for a bright room atall. OLED panels are much better suited to darker rooms as they cannot go as bright as LED panels and having them on max brightness will increase the risk of screen burn/image retention. Also the screen is very glossy and reflective so if you have any light behind you it will be annoying.
But it does look amazing if it’s in a darker room or when watching a film at night. I haven’t opened my living room shutters for weeks

I have a Toshiba OLED which is 500 nites, and have no problems in a bright room. Along as the light is not glaring directly on the TV. The Panasonic it brighter than the Toshiba, but Drummerdave is correct they are not as bright as a normal LED TV. Don't forget you can change you mind, so if you do find it not suitable you can return it.

Hi, thanks for the advice. My living room is quite well lit, and the current tv reflects a lot when sat off centre so seems like I should avoid this
Of course these are the 2019 models. The new 2020 versions should be released any time now (normally June/July every year).

Hanging on for further reductions...fingers crossed.

I ordered from JL today. I don't think the price will go much lower - maybe down to £999 for the last few if you're lucky enough to catch them, but you could easily miss the boat at that point.

I don't think they'll be around for long at £1099 to be honest. Currys and Argos are already almost completely out of stock, with just a few units left in random stores.
