1k plus for a mediocre screen and average bells and whistles? I pass mate

By mediocre you mean one of the best commercially available?
scocking107/12/2019 12:41

Can you please point me in the direction of a better tv for the price?

Just had a gander at their recent activities. He's just bought a black Friday sale Logic TV, like Curry's own budget brand... I don't think he'll be able to point you in the direction of a good tv let alone a better one!

You can't compare this to an edge lit LCD. The Panasonic is in a different league.

LOL

The idea that a crappy edge-lit LCD is even in the same universe as this TV is hilarious. Even another mid-range LCD like the Sony XF9005 stomps all over that Samsung, and can be had for £725 right now from Hughes.

No worries. Each to their own Personally, I missed out on this on Black Friday and it’s the cheapest I’ve seen since.
I paid £1099 for it a day after Black Friday with a free £40 Hdmi cable from Richer sounds. It is one of the best tv’s on the market for picture quality. Beats LG C9. Only thing the C9 does better is apps and OS and sound. Which I don’t need are want. I wanted picture quality at an affordable price and future proof.

Great deal. I was waiting for Cyber Monday to see if it went down anymore and then it was too late as price went up 🙈

So cynical I can’t post the date on receipt without showing my address etc but feel free to contact Thurrock Costco as I purchased this morning. They had 4 in stock still when we had it price matched.

Yes they will. I got it price matched via RS today.
In store or online, how did you get evidence from Costco?

It’s in store only. They would accept a photo which I didn’t have so they called the branch there and then.
Gonna head to my local Costco

5 star what hifi review. Apparently better sound that the C9 too. I'm far from an expert but this looks like a really good deal.

Just tried Richer Sounds. They need a photo of the tv in store with bar code and price to be able to consder price matching? Anybody got them to agree to this match? If yes how did you get it? Thanks

And not only that, the Q60R has HDMI 2.0 ports. What's going on @africanspeed
We didn’t have a photo so they called the store and price matched for us that way.
Im perfectly happy with my 2 year old OLED but if I was buying one right now, this is the one Id buy no question. Crazy price compared to what I paid too.

I give up! Can't win here. Just can't justify spending £1k plus for average bells and whistles. When I can get more and additional functionality with the Sammy. Screen is also par with the LG imo.

It's not average bells and whistles. It's an OLED Vs edge-lit VA panel. Huge difference, in my opinion.

Thank, very handy to know as thats the TV I have in my bedroom, will be a real struggle to replace it with an LCD due to it being in a dark room and LCD TV's bloom, bleed, clouding, etc that would drive me nuts as its obvious in dark room.
I'm leaning towards this more than the B9 as I'm not a fan of LG's motion handling for Football and F1, looking at the Sony for that reason too.

This tv is better than the C9. Any mind the B9. I never once looked at the B9. I compared this to C9 and i think this won and. If you want apps and all that crap then i heard the C9 is better. But i wanted picture quality only.
