Trying to decide on a new tv for the living room and can’t make my mind up. This deal from John Lewis seems a great price for what you get. It may be a late 2016 tv but has everything that you could need, except for OLED (if that’s your thing). Might go in store tomorrow to try and get a peek on this.

Nice TV but have a look at the Panasonic eBay outlet. This TV is available for £599 but it is a refurb.
There is an old thread on this tv worth a read,

JL had it at £799 for ages
they are still trying to get rid of the stock.

Gone from over 500 in April to 132 today so no rush.
Have a look at the EX750 as well that also has 3d.

At the £900 price point there are a few 2017 sets that compete well against this check out AVforums

A good 2016 set but with a ridiculous stand, with 2018 sets just beginning to drop in price a further £150-200 reduction would make this a more realistic clearance purchase.

This was £799 a couple of weeks ago! Bound to drop again.
You’re better off getting a 2017 model from another brand than getting this 2016 Panasonic.
This model is the biggest I could use to replace the 55 Samsung I had that just died and considered it.

However decided to stick to 55 and pay a bit more for oled, b7 from LG at 1174 in fact
You really want to pay £900 for a 16 tv
Been looking for a 58inch EX750 for ages (I need my 3D !) but haven't seen any discounts, seems to be a popular model still.

That was the other draw. So few left now!
That's the most horrendous stand I have ever seen on a TV.
LG 850 its £200 cheaper and has dolby vision, i have a LG OLED TV in the lounge and i bought the 49 inch LG 810 for the bedroom as i couldn't get a 49 in the 850 and ive been very impressed with the picture i wouldnt hesitate to recommend it. I would give this 2 year old TV a wide birth is £900 there is better for less, The LG has all the ondemand stuff including Plex which the Panasonic doesn't have.

Theres also the newer one from RX for just £50 more than this for a 2018 TV

Marmite. Would look good with an animation of newton's cradle going on it though
My advice - avoid this TV as it's a 2016 model; if you manage to get it from the Ebay outlet for £599, then it's a good deal. For this money, you are better off with 2017 models (Panny/Sony/LG/Samsung) or entry level 2018 models.
