£869 is the usual price for this and has been advertised at this price through Currys and Argos for a while now but the 10% reduction makes it a brilliant deal compared to those shops so it’s a hot deal. Thanks

R u kidding? Its the most disgusting thing ever (along with motion blur). Luckily my 8 year old 42 inch LG has none and is still going strong. Looks like technology has gown down since.

Made it look a big foggy in the corners when watching anything on it

Waiting for the usual 10 bit full 4k comments to make any sort of decision on this one.

I've got the 50" version of this TV in the bedroom and that has absolutely no light bleed. Must've just been unlucky.

Does anyone know if John Lewis will price match this, because of the discount code from a.o.
If they do you get the 5 year warranty from John Lewis

No they won't

My 58” Hisense K730 has the same Panel, possibly an older revision and the blacks on that are inky and totally uniform with Local Dimming enabled – it’s only edge lit with 16 zones but it works excellently. Must admit there’s nothing worse than watching a dark film in the dark on a panel with excessive clouding and torch-lighting.

My understanding is that the DX models are the best in this range! On sale for £999 at the minute at John Lewis with a 5 year warranty:

Some Panasonic TV's are now made in Turkey by Vestel but I believe the DX range is still top quality Panasonic...

The 58dx700 is a stunning tv. Upscaled bluray look outstanding. I play PC games at native 4K on this to and they look superb. I've been thinking about getting a new tv recently. I discounted the lg oled due to burn in problems and I was seriously going to consider the Sony 65 inch 9005. It's very hard to get a accurate comparison but the song wasn't any better than my Panasonic.
I realised that I didn't need to change my tv.
I can definitely recommend the 58 dx 700. It cost me £1200 on release. Although John Lewis did give me a £200 refund due to price drop.
The 4K demos I've tried on the Panasonic look outstanding.

They no longer make TV panels, they source them from Sharp and LG. The lower end Tv's are made by Vestel

Well I popped into Currys last night to view the tv and ended up buying it with the extra 10% online code thrown in. And the matching soundbar with an extra £50 knocked off. Lovely tv, very happy with it.
