Really good price and 12 month warranty
Ordered one myself, delivery not that quick though!!
Refurbished, worth it ? It better be !
Hot from me.
I've just purchased the 40"version (GX820) fromthe Panasonic ebay site, next day delivery, but it arrived with a smashed screen (well done DPD) returned and quick refund. Tried again, this time all was well, looked brand new, fantastic tv, great company to deal with, very happy.

The difference the Currys version GX820 and the GX800 is that the 820 has better audio quality

Really?? Couldnt see any differences on the Panasonic website, except that the Currys one was a 820, probably so they dont have to Price Match!!
If you look on the Q&A on Amazon for the TX40GX800 a question is asked about the difference, it is answered by 'Panasonic' so it should be correct.

I read in a thread somewhere the 820 has picture in picture but I`m sceptical, although the Panasonic web page lists the 820 as having Multi Window 1T PAP/PAT while the 800 only has PAT. I`ll be honest I don`t really know what any of that means !
* it`s also got better Teletext reception, 1500p vs 1000p. is Teletext still a thing ?
and Cinema Surround Pro vs Cinema Surround as sussexdaz said.

Keep checking back, they often re-list, sometimes a couple of times a week, keep checking
That was a bargain, shame there all gone now.
Only problem with Panasonic ebay is if it goes wrong after 14 days you have to Take or send it back at your own cost,,OK if you live close to a service center suppose.

Service center not too far away thankfully.
My current LG 42 inch has lasted so long now I forgot when I bought it, model LG42LD450. wow apparently I bought it on Amazon in 2010 for £399.99 ! Done pretty well i think. I thought this might be a good stop-gap until OLED gets it`s burn-in issues sorted, 2-3 years hopefully, as I mainly use pc. Hopefully it`ll last long enough until then.

Yes I got one. The reviews seem good for the 800B all round and since I didn`t go for it during the ebay sale recently this seems like a decent bet.

The 800B was still £549 when I looked today. The 820B was £499 yesterday, £399 today. Rude not too!!
Gutted I missed it - been looking at these and my current Panasonic was purchased from their ebay refurb store. Been absolutely fine for over 2 years so far....
This or the Samsung ru8000 for ps4 pro?
It was back in stock this morning, but oos again now. Keep checking daily for more stock
Same seller has the GX800B down to £499, was £549, which is still a good price.
Being delivered on the 17th Dedicated courier no less!!
I bought a 49inch TV from their outlet store and it was faulty out of the box. Had an annoying flicker every few minutes which I spotted pretty quickly. So much hassle to return it put me off going the refurbished route for a large item like a TV anyway.
Ordered a 50 inch CX700B in 2016 from the outlet, arrived faulty , they sent another, been using it since, was a great price at the time paid about £382 with a discount code, think the same tv is selling second hand on ebay now for £200-£240.

Will do.
Two 58 inch and one 50 inch left
Dang, would have loved to grab an 58gx at that price...been monitoring them for the past few months and was tempted to bite before...
They keep adding a few from 2.20am , check in the mornings
Delivered, built, seems to be working fine. Came in original GX800 box so I guess it may or may not be an 820 ? I`ll check the settings later. Can`t see anything wrong with it but I`m way out of touch with new TVs. Cross fingers it lasts as long as my last set. Much thinner screen than I thought it would be, it looks great ! Only used it for 15mins but pretty happy so far.

Mine turned up to, not original box though!! Looks perfect, just setup and working. Messing about with calibrated settings. In the menu it says GX800..... So no picture in picture... Will check the badge in the back later as box said 820 model.
Update - badge on the back says 820 so all good. Used some settings from AVforums and looks rather lovely. No dead pixels or screen problems. Bargain for £399!!

Nice, glad you got yours too. I checked mine and it says 820B on the back so all good there. I couldn`t see any dead pixels either. I don`t really use mine as a `TV` so I wouldn`t have missed picture-in-picture to be honest. Mostly use for PC, PS4 and Bluray.
i haven`t messed too much with the settings yet, just the obvious, Game mode for PC and turned the colour down a bit because it`s a lot brighter and more colourful than my old LG, Clear Motion is already off. I`ll see if I can find those settings and see if that makes it any better but it`s already leagues ahead of what I had. Total bargain !
Also do a software update to take it to 3.710 Not sure what it does, but did it anyway!! Will scour the net to see if I can find any other settings. Come from a 55" KS7500 so it has alot to live up to, but all good so far. Connected to my Samsung soundbar through Hdmi 2 with ARC control and working well. As said before, for £399 it's a steal!!

I ordered some new HDMI cables at the weekend to get ready for 4K. I tried but couldn`t get HDR working earlier but wouldn`t you know it I had my HDMI cable plugged into a DVI converter in my pc, switched it straight to HDMI port and now it`s full HDR and brighter than the sun ! I had to turn the backlight down to save my retinas from melting. Of course the cables are being delivered tomorrow, woops.
I tried to set my PS4 up for 4K, it took a few minutes then I remembered it`s not a Pro. Woops again.
It`s an awesome picture. I was worried a bit about and all the things I`ve read about 4K screens but so far PC gaming looks fantastic in 4K even without HDR. I`m loving it so far.
I`ll try some new settings tomorrow but I think I have to use Game mode for PC or else you get mouse input lag.
Thanks again for the post, fair to say I`m pretty darn pleased.
Glad you like it!!
Sky installed the new 1TB UHD Q Box on Friday so that came with a 4K HDMI lead, please tell me you didnt get the HDMI leads from Currys....
My PS4 has just been set to Game Mode, not changed anything else.
For SKY UHD I have messed about with settings on the GX800 section on AV Forums. Not entirely happy, so still looking for calibrated settings on the net.
Did yours need the software update?.
