Looking for a new TV then check this offer out from Comet. The TV is a good price but add £50 for the Blu Ray and it's a steal!! Previous posts show that this Blu Ray also qualifies for the free Blu Ray movies. If you go through Quidco you get an extra 3.5% so you could get the package for £820.
More importantly you should be able to get John Lewis to price match this and get a free 5 Year Warranty on the TV.

Rated it low as the tv is expensive on comet! £799. 3.5% off does not make a difference.

£728 and free delivery on dixons.co.uk. That would make it approx. £120 for the bluray player.

Both are good systems.

5300AW for 5% discount too

The point i was trying to put across is that you should be able to get JL to price match this(they are the same price for the TV) but you get the Blu Ray player and & discs for £50. Surely if you are in the market for this TV then that is a better deal than Dixons(no 5 Year Warranty)?

Having had an experience of having a Plasma fixed out of warranty a 5 year will always swing it for me....

Good point! With the 5% discount, even better.

Voted cold, not a good deal at all.

Just putting it into perspective the TV is around £711 off the top of my head at Amazon

No warranty etc.

Its no a bad deal for those that require the full package

The 5% code wouldn't work if you want the price match though....

wasn't the 46" on recently for 750 ? think this is over priced

great TV with freesat HD built in, 7 free blurays makes the deal even sweeter.

Still have a 30% code left from the 'comet email bonanza' Tues night, Brings all ths to around £577 which is now.. very good!

Hmm, what to do? Save it or spank it on this package?

Hmm, will go do some research on the hardware...

It is a very greatTV - but as wyabcp says - it's a bitter pill to swallow paying so much for the 42" version when the 46" version was so much cheaper recently. Indeed Iyou can pick up the BD60 for around £129 seperately if you shop around

However that aside; this is an amazing TV.
I have the 46g10

Very very pleased with SD and HD on it.

I might have got the wrong end of the stick, but I don't see the deal here. Same package is £816 at John Lewis with a five year guarantee. Got the TV and Bluray myself last month. It's absolutely brilliant!

Only problem with that argument is that JL will only price match a bricks and mortar store and not website prices.

i believe that this TOSHiBA 46" is great if you WERE LOOKINF FOR something bigger! and not a plasma.

I bought this PANA on the M&S deal Great exept sound aint too hot.. also not the best for gamers stick to LCD ... its is good compared to other plasmas but if i see too much phospur trails when goign too fast does get annoying maybe me but after 200hrs then i think it will get better

i wanted 42" not bigger so that was perfect.

when its dead quite you can hear the 2 fans but very slightly not a big issue.

5 yr guarantee i would def recommend!

Should add that I haven't got the discs yet (sent the form, receipt, jiffy bag etc about three weeks ago). Be prepared for a bit of a wait!

Excellent TV and Blu-Ray Player combo. I just bough the same two, but off John Lewis. £816 for the two items, (5 Year Warranty on the TV and 2 Year on the BD60.

Personally, I'd rather pay a little extra for the 50 inch version here:

richersounds.com/pro…10b

Went for the JL package myself earlier this week. It's coming on Tuesday. I cannot wait...

Spotted the deal here ]http//ww…a-h

Now to buy a cheap HDMI cable (and not a £40 one like the guy in Currys suggested to me!)
