Is there a huge difference between G10 and G15? or just cosmetic?

I think it is only cosmetic as you have said... 50% reduction in thickness on the G15, ive just bought the 46" G15 and its a great Tv... Not overly impressed with the standard definition but the Hd is great!!! .....

Forgot to mention i got the 46" from amazon for £849.00 delivered too.....

The G15 has one extra HDMI and also is DNLA enabled (allows it to be connected to a network and communicate with other DNLA devices like a PC).

It is also web enabled, allowing select websites to be viewed on the TV.

Also as mentioned it is a slimmer design.

Feel free to correct me if 'm wrong anyone!

interesting that JL put the price back down to 800 having gone back up to 900 for a while.

I have the Panasonic TV and brought a bracket from Amazon.
Tilt & Swivel with Swing Arm LCD TV Wall Mount bracket for all 37" 40" 42" 46" Sets"

fitted it Saturday in about half an hour - works a treat. Very sturdy doesn't stick ot too far when folded back.

Seems good value as John Lewis wanted £70 fo a fixed one.

BEWARE

I have bought this TV - an the TV, etc is great.

But the DNLA - media centre functionality is rubbish - hopefully newer firmware releases will improve the totally limited ability at present to play anything worth having file wise. It can only play non widescreen standard AVI's and JPGs - same goes fo the SD reader.
Check out these facilities first if they are swaying your purchase.

wait a few months as the new models announced at CES will start to hit retailers and they will be keen to shift old models... and watch this forum of course.

er, I beg to disagree. I am running PlayStationMediaServer ( code.google.com/p/p…er/ )
and I was able to stream a DVD* rip of cars (basically xvid at 1.5Mbp/s) and the Panny played it flawlessly, as good as when I watch via the PS3.

I don't know about widescreen jpegs off SD card, as my camera is 4:3, but it did fill the screen and they looked stunning.

vieracast is a bit basic but hopefully it'll get better.

* I have small children so I tend to rip DVDs rather than worry about them getting damaged.

er - was the video streamed to your PS3 - ie the PS3 was plugged into the Panasonic TV.

That is not the same????

I am talking streaming to the TV direct.....

Maybe I m misunderstanding you...
ALl help appreciated

the video was streamed by the TV itself from the file server - the PS3 wasn't even turned on at the time.
