Come and buy this TV from us and when we ask you to contact us we will try to sell you something different, HyperFi tactics at their best.

And they have been doing it for years. I complained to the ASA about their dodgy adverts and had an adjudication upheld

As far as I can tell Panasonic are the only ones still pushing them, probably because the first letter of Plasma matches the first letter of their company name. Plasma TVs are illegal to import or build in California

Yeah i did get JL to pricematch hyperfi the rule is that as long as they have at least one shop then they can. They didnt read the bit about being a refurb tv though but unless you try you will never know as they never even heard of hyperfi before.I just wouldnt try this in the nottingham JL branch as they probably clocked onto it now.

Actually it's because they are the only company making a healthy … Actually it's because they are the only company making a healthy buisiness from them, that and the fact there's a commercial market who want affordable +80" screens of a high quality. When you get a Panasonic you can tell it was built to last from the chassis and steel fixings to the 5 year warrantes and cross countries support. This all stems from the fact the same units with different software are used in industry as commercial grade displays. Pick a modern LCD up from a single corner and listen to the cracks and strains of the TV flexing. I am happy with the below par looks of the 20/30 series plasmas knowing they are built to last. If you can find a cheaper 50" TV of similar specs that's built Japan then go for it.

you sure their built in japan ? i though it was czech republic ?
