Currys have just got stock of the Panasonic TX-P50X10B 50" Plasma, I'm having one delivered on Sunday. The 5INTEGRATED code seems to work but isn't strictly for TVs so might be better using SNOW5 (which is valid until Friday 8th at 8am) to bring the website price of £642 down to £610 delivered and of course don't forget 3% quidco making it approx £592 delivered! This is by all accounts a fantastic TV, ok it's not full HD but resolution isn't everything. I don't expect these to be around for long (I think they've got about 70 in today).

Cheers
Andy

Great price, but I think I'd rather have the higher res at this size.

OK for Freeview only viewers....if you sit back far enough. Audio quality is supposed to be quite mediocre too - so not the TV for those action blockbusters.

Review here techradar.com/rev…iew

Voted hot though and H&R added

i have the same one. audio is very poor. i sit about 7feet from it. blue rays look abit grainy. at 10 ft not as noticeable. never had a 1080p 50incher so dont know if picture would be better at 7ft away. my guess is it would, i am sure others could confirm this.

To be fair a lot of blu-rays look grainy and that's nothing to do with the tv trust me. I doubt audio is any worse than other 50" plasmas around this price and anyway I suspect most people will have a surround system especially for blu-rays etc so is that really a big issue? I'm not saying this ticks all the boxes cos I know it doesn't but it is a good price for a 50" Panasonic plasma at the end of the day. There's a good thread in the plasma forum on avforums comparing this with the 50" G10 model and this comes out very well in that comparison (which granted is one persons opinion but nevertheless it's well worth a read).

Cheers

still coming up as £642 here
EDIT: sorry forgot the code , will currys cancel the code down the line (like littlewoods) as its for integrated appliances ,

Hmmm million dollar question that isn't it (well ok £32 question!). Don't thin Currys have been doing that but couldn't say for sure. The code has been referred to on other deals so might be worth checking them out to see if any precedant has been set.

yes especially since you can get this same set delivered from pixmania for £634 (615 +19 delivery ) - 4% quidco
if you loose the discount currys works out more expensive
edit :
actually just checked and pixmania has gone up again !

Well SNOW5 is a definite 5% off code valid until tomorrow morning so might wanna use that instead

Also I know who'd I'd rather order from between Currys and Pixmania! I've been very impressed by the service I've received from Currys to be honest, I bought the Samsung 50" one for £599 but have had problems with brightness fluctuations on it, they replaced the 1st set for another one which does the same so they are now letting me swap it for this Panasonic one at no extra cost (despite the website price being £43 more than what I paid for the Samsung). Can't complain about the service I've had at all and I never thought I'd say that about a DSG retailer!

Bump seeing as SNOW5 code expires tomorrow morning and anyone wants to take advantage of it tonight!

This TV was still priced at £629.99 in House of Fraser (TEC7), Reading today but delivery is an extra £35 if you are not able to pick it up yourself. It also includes a free 5 year warranty. We ordered ours last week which has now been delivered to the store and now deciding whether we can get it in the car or not!!
