typical, im looking for the 42inch version and this 55inch is £300 cheaper than i can find the 42 anywhere grrrr

Holy bleep, that is a super bargain!

You need to put the price in the title btw.

Must be an error on the part of Argos- the model listed is the latest 55" model selling at over £2,000 everywhere else. But the description on Argos site says it is a 50" screen size. If it was indeed the 55 then it would be the deal of the year but reckon this will be a disappointment for anyone who parts with their cash on this deal.

missprice missprint someone at argos has listed this beered up at a bbq

ordered couldnt resist even though i know it wont be honoured gone through quidco and paypal just in case you never know i might get a voucher out of it

is there ant free delivery code?

I could't resist either!!! If not honoured may make some free money. Would love one though.

even if this is price for the 50" still a good one

pmsl so not only do you want a 2 k tv for just over a grand which is a missprice missprint no doubt and now you want free del as well jeez

i doubt any of you will get this, decided not to buy due to the fact I can't be bothered to have 1k taken then refunded whenever they like

Just WOW!

Pity I'm not in the market for a new'un....

Exactly!

Think someone at Argos is in for a kick up the backside, brilliant bargain if it goes through.

They have to supply or heavily discount it. I very easily made John Lewis and Comet settle with similar misprints

Ok ordering. Shame it's the bloody glasses 3D thing but 55"

The cash being tied up for x number of weeks is too big a risk if it doesnt go through...

i remember ordering I think it was call of duty for 2.50 online from argos I think.. and it was in stock.. and even then they didnt offer it lol.. I really doubt they'd do it for this and I doubt you could make them sell it for the price advertised

im sorry mate they dont ive been through enough missprice adventures to know that ,at the best we might get a voucher out of it no more no less .

Ordered and used their 'But Now Pay 6 Months later' so that I dont have to use my cash right away and then wait on the refund when/if they cancel the order.

I agree usually if cancelled quite soon after, you are right. However, when they continue with the order such as when they dispatch it which they probably will, you then have them. This is a misdescribed item rather than an out and out misprice.

The Bose headphones that were dual described like this plasma (spec didn't match model number) in April, I got the £300 pair for £115 after they initially sent the cheaper pair.

JL sent a plasma they had advertised as 3 HDMI. It had 2 when it arrived. They refunded the difference between that and the next model up that had the 3 HDMI.

Plus, I need to put money on my card to get bonus miles

you never know, it might be correct as the 50 inch..... if you bear in mind it's not mentioning the free 3d glasses (2 x £130) and you can't do the "in-store" 5 year guarantee thing which all these together are probably worth just short of £360. Although the Panasonic website shows the 2 pairs of glasses as a standard inclusion with the VT model.

Was about to buy but model says 55, but the Argos title and specs also says 50 inch...

Which is right? 50" is too small...

Glasses are icluded as standard with vt30 models. I believe Wi Fi dongles are too.

Ordered one, Cheap even if it's the 50"

Surely as it says "Additional Information
Current selling price valid until 20/01/2012"
They must honour it?, no one else puts that on their online stores.

Thanks for shopping at Argos. We'll send you an email with the following details to acknowledge your order.
Order number:xxx65x2
Card authorisation number: 0xxx21

Refusing my card - first time i have had that!

Is it worth tempting a JL online price match too lol.

Mine went through ok, also took a screen grab of the argos page showing the model number as a 55 inch, although it shows this model number in the email confirmation anyway. If I get a 55 inch out of this i'll be mega chuffed!

bored of screw up argos make on their tvs

Amazing price ive brought my lg for over 2k 2 yrs ago and this for what it is . has to be very hot, trust me its better up on the wall then it standing on the floor.

Come on surely "Additional Information
Current selling price valid until 20/01/2012" would stand as an argument?, any lawyers on here?.

And has anyone ever managed to get a TV from Argos on a screw up? - Only worry is the spec actually lists a different TV to the 55VT30B, hope we don't end up with U series LOL.

I think they are entitled to make mistakes every now and then and rectify without fulfilling the order.
The best chance is like a previous post stated. If they actually send the product and you have a tv delivered that is not as stated in the description, you have some grounds.

So even if they deliver it, they could ask for it back??

Tesco direct sent me a TV once for an order I cancelled ages ago, weeks later they asked for it back, I told them to sod off.
