Stunning telly and for half what it came to market at.

That's a really good price for this particular model.

Plasma - Technology in it's current form pushed by purists who will willingly pay for the nose and volunteer to get ripped off for simply a "different" picture quality that reminds the viewer of their CRT set from 20 years ago.

The only thing plasma does better at these days is extremely low contrast scenes like blankets of fog and snow, other than that...who gives a stuff.

The only reason they are even still on the market is because of idiotic men in their late 40s and early 50s who refuse to let go but command a higher than average purchasing dollar per person, hence the manufacturers will still churn them out.

Wake the hell up!

...Everyone's owned a plasma at some point or another, had a few myself but there comes a point where it's just not worth the bother and that point came years ago. Anyone who says otherwise takes their image quality beyond the realms that 99.99% of us do or is quite simply living like an ostrich with it's head in the sand, that in fact, these days LCD is more than just oversaturated blown out mess.

I'd say the latter would almost inevitably be the case, with delusions of the former.

Beautifully said about the latter with the inevitable case. Mindfull of the former with delusions.

Amen to that too.

I don't know what you guys are on but this is the current reference set. Astounding PQ. I say that as a Samsung LED owner by choice. If I could have bought this at that price it would have been a no brainer.

Sexist.....ageist remarks.

I spend pounds not "dollars " BTW.

You don't like plasma TV's fine, no need to insult those that do.

He refers to Plasma TVs being "hassle". Not sure how it is more hassle than LED TVs. It's less hassle in fact. At least my Plasma out of the box, can actually display blacks and not a grey cloudy tinge.

Love how we're supposedly paying through our noses too... Guess what Robo? My GT30 cost me £600 BRAND NEW from Amazon.

Then again, you have to be part of the 0.01% of the population who isn't blind to tell it looks better than LED, don't you?

Seriously tempted, but must save my pennies right now...

LED's still aren't there yet with PQ compared to high-end plasmas. One of the biggest shouts at CES this year was Panasonic claiming they can/have made an LED that matches or even excels their plasmas for PQ - as we all know Pana's were regarded as best in the business for plasma screens (after Pioneer ceased production of course)

Bearing in mind that that kind of announcement was a big deal for consumers, critics and Panasonic themselves, I'd stick my neck out and say that other manufacturers are still a length or two behind with their current TV line-up. Only thing LED's trump plasmas for is power consumption....and weight too I suppose.

Granted 4K/Ultra HD presents a remarkable image but they are still considerably more expensive at this screen size.

Interesting article here

Good deal price aswell considering they're at least £2500 everywhere else. If only I had that kind of disposable income
