Thought this was a good price for this Panasonic TX32LZD81 saw it in comet and it looked sweet. If you already have sky installed you dont need to pay the £70 installation just remove this option before you checkout

Just a correction for the title: it's got circuitry in it for Freesat HD (ie which requires a feed from a satellite dish, such as one that was getting Sky for you) and nothing to do with Freeview HD (ie which would use a standard aerial, and which isn't yet available, with only some experiments done in London area a couple of years back), although no doubt the set has a Freeview tuner in it too. Watch out for a Freesat HD PVR from Humax later this month - at £299 + fitting cost of any needed satellite dish & signal feeds (so may want to allow for extra 2 coax cable feeds for one if getting one of these Pana sets)

Excellent - that is the cheapest I could find. This must be just released because until now, you could only get built in FreeSat HD in the Panasonic Plasma screens from 42" and above (TH42PZ81). Voted hot.

Also remember that you can only get ITV in HD on Freesat - it's not available on Sky HD. See ]http//ww…uk/ for more details.

If you have sky installed already it does not cost anything just unplug your cable and stick it in the TV instead

The title is correct.
It has the equivelent of the Humax HD inside, less hard drive, so why waste another £299? get a cheap dvd recorder with RAM
Freesat has similar channel line up to Freeview plus HD channels as they come along (e.g. the only place you can get ITV HD)

Well I take it the Humax will record in HD where as a cheap DVD recorder won't and is alot more fiddly/slow to use than a PVR

Im looking to but this tv for my bedroom, i have sky hd downstaires but thought i could just plug my digital arial in my bedroom into this tv to recieve freeview and the freesat hd channels. What would i need to do to access the hd freesat service?

You need to connect this to your Sat dish to recieve freesat, if your dish only has one outlet you need to get a 'Quad LNB', £9 delivered off ebay, and easy to fit providing you can get to your dish easily. Then just take the feed from dish straight to tv.
