This is one of Panasonics top of the range 37" HD Ready LCD, featuring 100HZ motion scanning and VReal sound processing chip.

It is NOT 1080p but this is not really needed on a 37" set unless you plan on using it as a PC desktop... which i cannot imagine many people just looking for a tv will be doing.

There are only a few other sets which come close to this for the price... TH37PX80
Plasma is one.. but if you are not in the market for a Plasma then this is certainly one to consider.

Closest other price to this is well over £600.... So this is a very good price.

Well this is only an opinion! You can definatley see the difference 1080p makes over 720p on this size of screen. But not a bad deal none the less. Heat added.

I agree totally....to say 1080p isnt necessary is a joke...the bigger the tv the More it is needed especially if playing blu-ray movies:whistling:

froogle.richersounds.com/sho…01U Surely thats a better deal or am I missing something? As its not panasonic I know this is a factor.

Thats a vastly inferior TV, but similar to this its a lukewarm/cold deal

Rather have a 37" at full 1080p.... 37" is regarded as the smallest size that allows the full benifiet to be seen.

1080P IS a waste of time until larger sizes. You cannot physically tell the difference between 1080p and 720p unless you are very close to the screen ( under a foot at this size ) or the screen is very big.

1080p is ONLY of benefit when inputting 1080p into the screen. Only 2 sources at the moment High definition disks and PC input.

Sky HD , games consoles etc are all "hdready" resolutions.

May i ask how should i edit the title? Name some other televisions which beat this ? Pioneer KRL37V? Panasonic TH37PX80? Are the only 2 which are "better" but they are better in different respects for different uses.

I love all the people here saying you *must* have 1080p , as usual in these forums.... Guys do some *real* comparing and reading up. Higher resolution is way way down the list of importance, first comes contrast, response rates, panels. And as usual it depends on what the tv is being used for. If you are not putting 1080p into it then it cannot physically be of benefit.

Read up on the Panasonic th42px80 a multi award winning television and its "only" HD Ready.

'Panasonic' in the headline would definately increase your hits.

Am I wrong in wasting my money in getting a 1080p set on a ps3 when I use it for blu-ray and games? Thanks for any advice.

Depends on size... but most ps3 games are rendered at only 720p or lower. I very small amount of games are 1080p..

As i mention above the human eye cannot tell the difference in 1080/720p with moving images until larger sizes ( 46"+, 42" is debatable ), imho is it worth it ? Nope due to the fact on a 1080p set things need scaling nearly twice as much meaning your normal television will look worse on the 1080p set as opposed to the 720p equivalent.

However at larger screen sizes 1080p and high specs go hand in hand so don't disregard 1080p sets just don't make it a main priority!

Ok. Can anyone help me find, a good balanced TV 32" or 37" for a good mix. Please

Not on a decent quality 720p TV. On a rubbish panel yes.
