2922977.jpgUse the code Easter60 to reduce the price of the Panasonic TX40EX600B to £289. Code expires tonight though, so you'll need to be quick. Not available at John Lewis (for price matching), perhaps worth trying Richer Sounds?

Isn’t that the previous years model?

That's the wrong link, it's the 2017 EX600 deal This one is about
5 year warranty for £40.
That's very competitive.
Ordered for the lads bedroom, thanks!
Price seems too cheap for HDR 10 but it seems to be HDR 10 and not 8bit+frc HDR?

panasonic.com/uk/…tml

Can't find it on the display specs website
Looks a good deal, is the 700b a much better model? I'm guessing the 700b not worth £160 extra as long as the 600b is the 2017 model?

I'm sure others will say otherwise but currently owning a Panasonic 8bit+frc and a Samsung full 10bit panel both in the £1500+ price range, don't worry about it the difference just isn't there, this is a hell of a lot of tv for the price infact I would bet you can't find a better TV for sub £300.

At 40inch you won't be noticing the difference.
And no TV is going to be 10 bit at that price point.

The 700b is better (has wide colour gamut, hence better HDR), but not £160 worth of better.

The 2017 models have EX in the full model number. 2018 models have FX.

The 600b has wide colour gamut. I've got the 65 750b and a family member has a 600b the differences are the noticeable but both images are excellent the 600 has a much better image the any other set I've viewed costing £300 or less.

Anyone in the know, would you recommend this Panasonic over this LG ?

£60 extra gets you a bigger screen and Freesat.
Picture wise they are both low end HDR TVs from decent brands so don't expect the world but they will run your 4K content to a reasonable standard.

Has to be said that the LG smart experience is more fluid in term of menu arrangement and navigation though.

Realistically I'd want a long warranty for either set as they don't make 'em like they used to but at this price point you can't always have everything.

TL;DR - go LG if you have the extra money.
Purchasing warranty a no brainer?
Vonlance The warranty is defo worth it
Purchased, thanks all
What's the difference between the cheap warranty and the expensive one
Jh787 Maybe the more expensive one includes accidental damage?
Is the cheap warranty worth it?

Don't think so. Bluetooth transmitter will do the trick.
Thanks for this been after a decent 4K for a while now. What's the 4K like on it; does YouTube's 4K content work?

Netflix and YouTube are 4k on the Panasonic 4k sets.
Purchased this over the LG in the end

looking forward to trying it out. Thanks!
Rather have the LG 43UJ670V from richersounds with 6 years guarantee included.
I would not touch LG with a barge pole
do you know if you can put legs closer together? If they are at the corners (as per the pictures) then it won't fit on my table unfortunately.
The discount is still being applied!!!
Was going to get this but looking at the specs

panasonic.com/uk/…tml

for the stand size is massive (35cm wide) and will not fit where I wanted it to go.

The stand is wider than my Sony 55" stand

Any recommendations on a similar but a central stand?

Answered both questions

Scroll right and Argos have the promo video showing legs can be moved in 4 different positions.

Just nabbed for 289.

There is a DX600B for the same price which is without HDR and this is with

However. On the amazon site some use says this doesn’t work on the 40” model.
I just looked at the manual, looks like the 40", stands are corner only...
I've ordered this deal and it has been processed.
Should arrive in a couple of days but after reading some of the comments on this thread I think the 43" LG from Richer sounds for £60 extra seems like the better option.

The only negative comments against the LG are in regards to their reliabilty but I have an LG as the main tv and it has never given me any problems. The highly rated customer service and renowned 6 Year warranty from Richer Sounds is adequate if the worst does happen.

The extra £60 will also give me a bigger screen and freesat.
Deal is back live
Just got RS to pricematch with 6 years at £309. Seems a great deal.
