This is a much better deal - …This is a much better deal - https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsung-ue50mu6120-50-399-at-rgb-direct-with-code-2936423- a Which? Best Buy, cheaper AND you can get John Lewis to price match. I know because I did.

How is it a much better deal? I wouldn't say the two TV's are comparable.

Samsung UE50MU6120 vs Panasonic TX50EX750B
3D : No vs. Yes
HDMI slots: 3 vs. 4
HDR: 8 bit vs. 10 bit
Local dimming: No vs. Yes
Refresh rate: 50Hz vs. 120 Hz

Only a few key features to name, so yes it may be cheaper, but they aren't alike. I'd say the MU7000 is Samsung's most comparable offering, again at pretty much the same price as h-man pointed out.

I would say this TV was available at £599 from Curry's/John Lewis a week or two ago with a 5 year warranty, which was a better deal given the warranty.

Good price as is but if you want the extra 5 year warranty plus adding delivery of £4.99, total £670.71 Richersounds is better value at £649 and you can pick it up if one nearer.
Good tv and price, only issue is lack of Dolby Vision.

Yeah just for the 6 year peace of mind, this is a great price though, but not to keen on that stand..
Don't you this is a better deal hotukdeals.com/dea…745 ? I've actually posted this deal but Samsung MU7000 looks great as well.

link not working.. which TV is it?
Hmmm sorry about that. It was the Samsung UE50MU6120 at RGB Direct on offer at £399. I submitted a price match to JL and they accepted. TV should be arriving next Monday
"The only TV in 2017 supporting 3D" - for good reason: 3D TV is awful.
Sorry I am going to be that guy... this a 10bit panel?

It was never alive
amazing TV 4 the money. Best TV in this price range imho
Edited by: "MikeLondon" 16th May
picked up this tv from currys
amazing set dont be put off by the stand it looks huge in the picture but its actually small compared to the size of the tv itself i have a really small tv unit for 40 inch tv and it fits on top fine
got this for £599 at Richer Sounds when the deal was posted 2 weeks ago, superb TV. I suggest taking a trip to the owners page on AVforums for anyone who buys it and having a good read through. Look on page 37 for Blackwiggles settings as well as page 80/81 for Ivans settings.

You will need to calibrate the TV to get the best out of it, but its well worth it.

Panasonic is offering free 5 year warranty at the moment.
pros
great picture in hd ,
4k is stunning,
10bit hrd on ps4 pro is brilliant
the apps and appstore built in is decent enough
remote is great i now control my tv,ps4,surround sound system and android box all by my tv remote relegating 3 remotes to my draw
thanks
the stand is actually smart it hides all the cables and wires cant see a thing and i have 4 hdmi cables 2 coaxials and a optical lead plugged in and family have all commented how nice the stand is

cons sounds a bit on the low side will need a soundbar i have mine plugged in through optical lead into a panasonic sound plate

Only from participating retailer, of which I don’t believe Co-Op Electrical is one of them. promotions.panasonic.co.uk/pro…257

Still a good price if you can live without the additional warranty.

The Samsung is an inferior TV in every measurable way. Cheaper is not the same thing as 'better value'.

Bet you are wrong.... once the big tv's become the norm I bet it reappears ... 3d on a 40" tv is a complete waste of time but 3d on a 65" 75" or 90 or 100" tv will be a totally different experience. As is going to the cinema or on a projector totally different from a on average size tv.
It will reappear within the next 2 or 3 years.
I have on of these TV's, the only gripe is the limited viewing angle.

I hope you're right.
I have far too many 3D Blu-rays for it to fail now.
Personally, I've never understand the hate for home 3D. It obviously works at the cinema and people are still buying the media.

With 3D comes 120hz. Just saying 😁

Don't think the 58 is 120hz
Good deal
Also I found on rgbdirect.co.uk tx50ex700 for only £399. Use promo code SPORTS100 , I received in mailshot.
Value for money.

I don't see that as a negative to be honest, 3d is terrible

That's the wrong model, the 700 is not a patch on the 750B, have a google.

There’s a lot missing in the 700B: No 3D, no 120Hz, no true 10 bit panel, no high performance HCX2 processor (same proc as OLED range and the only one powerful enough to get HDR10+ support), no adjustable stand, no dual Freesat tuner.

I for one like 3d but I was only asking as I couldn't find a definitive answer
I dont value 3d and the 700b is a 10bit HDR panel with the same processor as this one. The 750b has a brighter screen which is my only gripe with the 700b but Id rather a bigger tv screen if I had to choose.....each to their own!

it's not a 10 bit panel, have a look at it in the flesh, it's a massive step down in image quality
Incredible value for money, over at av forums people compare this to the xe9005!

The ex700b and Samsung mentioned in this thread pale in comparison.

You are mistaken, the 700B does NOT have the HCX2 processor and as such will never get the HDR10+ update.
