Been shopping around for one of these, Dixons are the next closest at £513 with a
voucher however thier extended warranty is pretty expensive and zero aftersales. It's listed on Richer Sounds website but available instore, or if you phone your local store delivery for me was £16

It's 'only' Hd Ready (ie 720p) but ideal for SD stuff which is what i mainly use. Got rid of my old 720p cheapo LCD as sky/Tivo/Cameras looked absolute blockly rubbish on it.

£499 is for the 1 year warranty, however Richersounds will do thier own 5 years warranty covering parts & labour or replacement and will even loan you a TV while yours is bring fixed and they do all the collecting and delivering for just £49 so for £550 you get a cracking plasma with a 5 year gurarantee!

Couldn't get anyone to price match this locally (cheapest was £599 with the 5 year (panasonic warranty) - they all laughed when I asked for a price match and said no way!

Guff from website:

Product Information

Featuring a brand new, G12 plasma panel, the TX-P37X10 offers a stunning contrast ratio of 20, 000:1 - that's an impressive 33% improvement on the previous model. Improvements in panel performance have come about from improved production process incorporating the new Real Black Drive system (a pre-discharge system) and raising the base illumination. All signals also benefit from 100Hz technology. 100Hz technology gives a more stable picture with less flicker and reduced motion blur.

As ever, we'd always recommend a separate home cinema system for the best sound quality, although the built-in system offers enhancements over previous models. V-Audio Surround gives a spacious sound based on actual room measurement from the onboard digital signal processor. Combined with the "invisible" speakers, it gives a crisp, well-detailed sound quality.

In this age of HD, it's good to see that the latest Panasonic plasma TV has 3 HDMI sockets - ideal for an HD TV receiver, Blu-ray player and upscaling DVD. One of these is side mounted making it ideal for an occasionally connected device such as a games console. In addition to this, twin SCART sockets, VGA (for a PC) and component inputs are on hand for analogue sources. A slightly more unusual fitment, but still welcome nonetheless is a SD card reader. This easily accessible slot is perfect for showing pictures taken on your digital camera. The HDMI VIERA link has been upgraded to allow the connection of Panasonic LUMIX digital cameras. Once connected you can use the TV's remote control to playback stored images on the camera.

With a softly contoured stand and sleek new finish, the TX-P37x10 looks smarter than its predecessors. Always a class favourite, the new Panasonic TX-P37x10 is now better than ever.

Free headphones maybe with the attached vouchers?

just wait for the plank to state its not 1080p....unless you are using it as a pc monitor (but id question that too...better to use a proper monitor with a fit for purpose screen anyway!)
