excellent deal; great price for one of the last plasmas

A dying breed, which is a shame, my 2 year old Panasonic plasma is still amazing, shame there will be none left by the time I plan on upgrading.

I have the p42g20 and it's about 3-4 years old. Would recommend this type of TV as it keeps on going. No noticable signs of screen burn but if you know how to look after them it isn't a problem.

I paid £650 for mine so this is a steal (I know it's not quite same specs).

Becareful "HD Ready" means "Not ready for HD", this TV only offer 1024x768 resolution, which is pretty low.

Regardless the image this produces is fine.

My 42 inch Panasonic plasma is over TEN years old and crystal clear. I paid 4k for it

HOT price BTW

Be careful, this person doesn't know much about TV pictures.

Great tv, won't beat it for the price and will be better than any LCD/Led rubbish under 700.

720p is measured by the horizontal lines regardless of the vertical so this is HD. plus plasma displays in a different fashion, so the image will still look normal. Many of the famed Pioneer Kuro sets were 1024 x 768.

cheeky monkeys had this listed for £249 the other day

love plasmas

I picked this exact panel up in January from ASDA for £260 absolute bargain, the picture is amazing. HEAT

There is no other TV I would buy for £279. These Panny's produced a great picture for the money (better than any similarly priced LCD, regardless of resolution) and it's a shame they were discontinued.

Yep same as me...yet to see a better default then the thx mode colour wise and ours is 1080p...like rocking horse poo!

Buy it!
I have a Panny (HD ready) plasma that is nearly 6 years old, I often sit and marvel at how great the picture is.

Have you compared this TV to LCD in the same (and more expensive) price bracket

The only thing putting me off is the thick bezels

I agree I've just bought the 65" VT65 as if I waited another month or so they would all be gone and the choice would be LCD which is not in the same league as plasma.

kwl tv got 1 maself tho

Wherever I look it says that it's got Freeview HD tuner, which makes it much better deal.

so in laymans terms....yes

This is not HD and is pretty much obsolete given that for a little more you can get a modern Tv in full 1920x1080 with a 5 year guarantee. A 42 inch display is especially pointless in a lower than real HD resolution.

No it isn't.

Same price - manufacturer refurbished @ Richer Sounds ebay outlet with 5 year warranty

Awesome screen.
Ignore the fools who are chasing resolution numbers.
Buy this TV and laugh at the cretins who claim it is obsolete.

You will struggle to find a better display under 500 notes.

love a good plasma - vibrant image, none of that horrible LCD motion blur.

Cold from me !! Free UK delivery must not mean to all of the UK COUGH COUGH Northern Ireland !! Same bloody postal service

I bought this TV about a month ago for £299. It's a cracking TV and is great for gaming.

I bought my p42G20B 4 years ago and love it. Love the warm colours and picture quality, would defo buy another Panasonic plasma if mine ever goes pear shaped. Much prefer it to the picture from a Samsung. I didnt know plamas are due to be discontinued. Shame. Good price.

I bought a pionner kuro 428 around 9 years ago. still going strong and displays sd and hd nicely. built like a brick!

forgot to say it cost me over £1500 and believe the blurb said it did the black colour better than lcd allowing a better 'pallette' for colours!

Looking for a tv for an xbox one, would this be a good choice or are there better options around for a similar price?

Do you notice any fan noise?

I went for the zt60 for quiter fans and because of the slightly improved screen.
