Worth noting this has no anti reflective filter so if placed in a bright room it is almost unusable.

I've noticed that in reviews as well. Can't find anything positive about this model at all, which is unusual for a Panasonic. It's not full HD either, if that's important to you. Doesn't make it a bad TV, but it's not clear on the website.

Why does Panasonic not list this model any longer? Because it's old!

Ckeck the power consumption of the plasma tvs. A whopping 450W, that's a small electric heater. Will cost you a fortune (7p per hour) in electricity and and you will need an air condition if we ever get a hot summer, lol. My brother bought a fantastic Samsung 50" 200Hz which has a consumption of 80W. Check out the new generation tvs.

It's not 450w constantly, it peaks at that. Average for my 50" is 200w. But LCD's are far more efficient.

depends on what the price differential is between the sets, surely?

what model is the samsung?

350w max, not 450w

5 Year Warranty and i'd be tempted, only 2 hdmi bit disappointing too, but the price is v v good.

I bought the Panasonic TXP50C10B last week for 499 at currys. It arrives today, so I can't say yet what I think of it. I sure hope massive power consumption isn't a problem, though!
