Website info on tv

The Panasonic TXP50ST30 is Panasonic's best value 50 inch 3D plasma TV to date. Yet, despite the price, quality remains as high as ever.

If you want an image with true depth, then you can't beat a 3D TV. It's not just the projection from the TV but the ability for the TV to give the impression of images behind the TV that really impresses. Thanks to Panasonic's Vreal 3D chipset and the superfast reaction time of Panasonic's Neo Plasma panel, this is one of the most effective 3D TVs in its class. Once you've experienced the involvement of a 3D film, you'll find 2D decidedly, well, two-dimensional! In order for you to get the most out of this Panasonic 3D plasma TV, they've also fitted a 2D - 3D convertor. As you'd expect, the rest of the panel is pretty impressive, too. Panasonic have combined 600Hz Sub-field Drive technology with their own image-analysis technology to create super-smooth images, whatever the resolution. With an amazing contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and a new filter system, the VIERA TXP50ST30 gives inky deep blacks and truer realism than ever before at this level - whether 3D or 2D.

As TVs become ever thinner, so the sound quality suffers. With a TV such as this, you really need a separate sound system for an audio performance to match the picture. As standard, this latest Panasonic Viera Neo Plasma comes with the all important digital optical output. Should you use the onboard audio system, V-Audio Surround and 2 x 10 watt speakers are on hand to deliver crisp sound quality. In order to keep up with the latest broadcast standards for audio, there's also Dolby Pulse fitted. This new processor has been designed to offer a more consistent sound quality from ordinary TV and should be with us soon.

VIERA Connect brings together a host of features that make this much more than 'just' a TV. Use the Application-based browser to view shopping based functions, social media Apps and catch-up TV channels. The TXP50ST30 also comes with twin USB sockets. These are ideal for connecting a digital media device such as a camera or USB stick and viewing photos and listening to music through the TV. Along with all the expected HDMI and analogue inputs, there's also an SD card slot - perfect for showing your digital photographs straight onto TV. Added together, it makes this Panasonic plasma TV a complete home entertainment hub that's worlds away from TVs of days gone by.

For a value 3D TV without compromising the picture quality, the Panasonic TXP50ST30 has just set a new standard.

You dontneed to get to Weymouth put in a JL pricematch against RS as they are doing the same deal with glasses @ £699
You get 2 pairs of glasses for £699. Why does the title say 4?

2 pairs of additional glasses for £699 - 2 are already included at £599
No Dayuum, its £699 for 2 glasses. The £599 is without.

Hi Dayuum. If you check the actual picture, it says "also available with 2 glasses for £699". I rang them to ensure this was correct before getting JL to price match

okay doke, thanks for clarifying
Getting a JL price match for this tv is very tempting, if it was £599 with glasses i'd be all over it.
Have some heat.
someone change this it is 2x pairs for 699
Heat !!!
so whats the deal ? 2 for or 4 for £699 and 5 yr guarantee ?

cheers
Is the 3D in HD?
Ive got the 42st30 and it wasnt wi fi ready....had to buy a dongle. Not sure if it applies to this size tv.
I can never understand why people buy a TV for its picture quality, then stick a pair of glasses on that automatically makes the picture dimmer and lacking colour.

Nothing the 31 is a Comet exclusive to stop price matching but its identical
Seen this in the Liverpool branch the other day. I ended up going for the superior LG47LW540U for £749.99. It uses the passive 3d which in my opinion is better than active 3d.
The LG also comes with 7 pairs of 3d glasses

A brighter "more vibrant" picture under store lighting conditions does not a superior TV make.

It doesn't matter, the screen is higher quality for 2D viewing, as stated in all threads (_;)

What about Your text here smaller and £150 less. Just options that's all.

No 5 year guarantee. Will they price match Amazon? Edit: No, they won't

cool, nice deal.
Now £699.95 at John Lewis with two pairs of glasses and a 5 year warranty: hotukdeals.com/dea…872

I guess under Richer Sounds own price beat policy they'd therefore knock £10 off - but they won't deliver whereas JL will.
