What is the best one?
Ginger, the best one is the TZ20 i think.
not all 12mp cameras are the same - this is a good one. You want one which takes pictures quickly and ones with good colors.
12mp / igone; look at the lens quality - this one is superb!
Item is sat in Best Buy basket till I get more info. Seems I won't be able put the output file into my Movie software unlike the AVI file from my Fuji and I believe won't work in Windows Movie maker.... not that I use it.Suppose the Motion jpeg file the Panny creates can be converted which I don't like doing as I reckon you lose quality somewhere.
Only available for reserve and collect. As I'm in the North West the nearest Bestbuy is 60 miles away!!!!
Please forgive me for being a camera novice, is this a silver version on the usual black Lumix TZ8s you see around or is it a different camera?

TZ8 come in black or silver... some other TZ's come in various colours
Anyone know whether the TZ9 is still available? Would prefer the TZ9 to this, but not sure if Currys/PC World have stopped doing it?

No longer showing on website. Think you'd be lucky to find one in store stock.

TZ9 and TZ10 better specs from last year's range. TZ 18 replaces TZ8, TZ19 and TZ20 higher specs this year. They're all similar though and exclellnt cameras so go for what you can find at the right price.

The " best " one is the one that does what you want it to do, no point in spending money on facilities that you will not need/require.
Quick Update: ordered yesterday with free delivery for today and it arrived at 8.30! Battery all charged and kids birthday party tomorrow - happy days. Quidco tracking too

cheers again OP

Thanks, I did see that, but I'm not too bothered about the GPS. Is it worth paying the extra for the TZ10 for quality of photos?

Would like to know which Sony/canon/fuji cameras are comparable to this.
Don't need GPS. Just want something with great image quality and fast shooting.
Can anyone recommend an alternative? Have a tz7 at the moment....pics good but not amazing and low light shots are poor.

Completely agree but the larger screen on the TZ9 / 10 is surely a valuable feature for any user? GPS is pretty much a gimmick though IMO.

Looks like they have run out of warehouse stock as that option is now greyed out. I'd keep checking every morning as they do come back in stock.
They go quick though - (I missed the TZ10 narrowly this way earlier on in the year!)

I have the TZ10 and agree re the GPS; never used it myself. Picture quality very similar too. However, I think it's worth the extra for the larger, better screen alone.
Guys can anybody suggest another deal for a camera around the £150 mark? Missed out on this one and live too far to travel to a store.

Cheers
The 5% discount voucher code has now expired but the camera now seems to be in stock for home delivery so 8% cashback via quidco
