Same here. I'm building up the war cheat hopefully for early 2009!!!!!!

You could get a 1080p PJ for that and have a 100" screen :whistling:

I just bought a 720p HD65 for £400, Currently watching a 66" screen in the bedroom:thumbsup:

Very nice. Saw some similar in local Tesco on a reduced to clear (before I descovered HUKD)...
but here's the thing...
Should I get a 50" Plasma or a LCD?
(or should I wait until the recession really bites this sector of the market!!)

Its still showing up as 'In Stock' for me and still £950 although delivery is £30.

A 1080p PJ and a 100" screen for less than £956.24? Could we have a link to this? As far as I know the only sub £1000 1080p PJ is the Optoma HD800x.

The newer Panasonic TH50PZ80B is £1164.55 at dixons andyou can get quidco 5% so brings it down to £1100. Link - dixons.co.uk/mar…574

Oh and by the way the new panasonic with freeview built in is the PZ81B not the PZ71B. Pretty expensive though - dixons.co.uk/mar…723

Heat added, looks like a good deal.

I've a few reservations about plasma still tho.

Burn-in is the prime one, I also believe they are juice-hungry little rascals.
With Pioneer dropping out of producing them I'm not sure they are the better long term bet either.

Pioneer are not stopping production of plasma screens, theyre just moving away from consumer level plasma's into super high end plasmas. this meand no more 42".

They recently released two new kuros in 50" and 60". My local richer sounds have the 60" on display and it is the best tv i've ever laid eyes on, regardless of size.

burn in isnt an issue either unless you leave a windows screen or epg on for hours on end. in the unlikely event it happens it usually can be fixed easily enough too.

Also, 10% off today and it isnt expired making it £885 and an absolute steal

I'll tell ya what guys. This is how I look at these tvzzz. I am a gamer and also enjoy watching movies. With the PS3 playing Bluray and games in Hi-Def. I'll be buying two screens. 1 LCD for the games and 1 Plasma for movies. PLasma beats watching movies in HiDef by a mile compared to LCD. And LCD beats Plasma in playing games in HiDef by a mile. 32" LCd for gaming and 50" Plasma for movies.
