Like the 50" posted earlier this is a Vestel re-badge. The only thing Panasonic about this TV is the name printed on the front.

Its not a proper Panasonic TV - a cheap generic TV with a Panny badge. I would see one in person and judge for yourself.

First I've come across this! I thought panasonic made all their tvs. How can we tell if other panasonic tvs are rebadged?

The Samsung hands down. If your after a 39" or above this may be of use for only £70 more with a 5 year warranty tesco.com/dir…prd?pageLevel=&skuId=193-8500

I've not seen this model but i've seen Vestel made TV's under various badges both inside and out, they're getting better but they're still Junk. Basically they're all the same with different badges.

The whole A300 range appears to be Vestel made, I commented last night on the 50 inch deal and someone confirmed it was made in Turkey and a few people subsequently cancelled their orders lol. Vestel TV's all have the same input layouts on the side and rear, its not difficult at all to find out - "assembled in Turkey" and a cheap looking bezel + chunky chassis is also a dead giveaway.

plus the cheap looking remotes and rubbish menus

well I went to view this tv in curry's and there's nowt wrong with the cosmetic looks, it sits steady and the picture is fine...it satisfies my needs for an infrequently used bedroom set.

Good point. I can't find anything at all suggesting these are Panasonic branded Vestel TV's. Any guidance from freakstyler would be much appreciated,

Someone in the 50 inch thread confirmed (they had one) that it was made in Turkey and the pictures on Currys website seem to point towards the A300 series all being Vestel TV's. The A400 and above all seem to be proper Panasonic made TV's.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the tv yesterday but am now hesitating.

I've had a look at the thread and the 50" thread and Andy has said it's confirmed as a Vestel but surely there would be something else online? I'm not being confrontational by the way. I'm just trying to establish if there's any other proof other than Andy basing his comments that it looks similar and states it's made in Turkey.

It'd be a huge help if you have any links to tv's that have the same generic layout for comparison. Thanks again freakstyler - any help is genuinely appreciated.

Manufactures don't want people to know they're putting their name on a substandard product. It'll be hard to find proof that the A300 series is Vestel made from any official source. Its more down to detective work, its not difficult. All Vestel TV's have similar remotes, input layouts (side and rear) and menu's.

This Finlux (brand owned by Vestel) is very similar, take note of the forth picture showing the side inputs - very similar to the Panasonic.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Finlux-39FPD274B-T-Full-Smart-Freeview-Black/dp/B00O27UFHA

Vestel TV's are fine as long as your not paying too much for them. When a manufacturer does this I think its very underhanded, consumers thinking they're getting a quality product when in reality they're paying a premium for a TV no better than a supermarket own brand.

Just bought on of these Panasonic Viera A300 TV,.its crap and i`m taking it back.
It looks cheap,.the picture is awful,.so is the sound,..and the on screen menu is dated and a nightmare to navigate.

Trust me,you will be disappointed if you buy this TV.

Was considering buying one of these today, but having read the comments and feedback here I think I'll pass. The quality of the rear panel on that Finlux TV as posted by Freakstyler looks shockingly bad.

Shame that companies with a great brand reputation like Panasonic should be resorting to this shabby sales technique.

I've bought one of these TVs and I am sorry to disagree with all the above. Picture quality and sound quality is great, menu is easy to navigate, it looks good, is sturdy and I have no reason to believe that's it's a rebrand. And besides IF it is a rebrand it will have to be decent enough IF Panasonic have their name on it. I would recommend this TV

Definitely a re-brand, I had a look in Curry's last weekend, they had this and a JVC branded model side-by-side, bar one extra HDMI port they were identical in all respects.

whether you believe it or not the Panasonic A300 series are indeed rebranded Vestel tvs.
I'd suggest looking at real Panasonic TVs for quality and function comparison.

Hi, I bought the A300 50" from the PANASONIC EBAY site for £249 and it was advertised as a VIERA model, so I bought a PANASONIC VIERA surround system to substitute the poor sound output, to then find out that it no way matches up, so I went round the several ways of connections, to no avail. I then EMAILED Panasonic, to be told that it is DEFFINATELY a VIERA, and a PANNY engineer would be in touch !!! I WAIT IN ANTICAPATION.
I am devastated to find out it is a REBRAND, as it was advertised by PANASONIC as a genuine REFURB PANNY !

Well ive just bought a TX-39A300
ok lets kick this in the guts.
I use my Ps4 and 60Hz with a 100hz refresh rate works wonders.
i keep mine in Store mode and tweek the contrast and back light settings. Its all about personal reference but after my Samsung Y-Sustain board blew on my 50 inch and i couldnt get credit to buy another huge tv i had £250 on me so i went down on size.
Yes its rebranded but check the parts list the main board is Panny and the screen is its the tuner and cover etc is Vestal.. i must agree even with the base settings on its poor quality.. but i put my lan cable in did a update and it sounds more dynamic.
Game mode is ok if you are willing to goto OSD on it i got a Picture Perfect - Blu-ray DVD KNOWHOW - with colour filters well worth the money.. Just brag currys .. I bought one of those SEKIE tvs omg WTF?? this Panny is ok for small rooms like mine.

Sky Hd channels vary definitely some issues with the HD box being 50hz not 60hz and its trying to get its refresh rate higher but ive played with the settings on my ps4 which is 60Hz
Heres my settings for any gamers on ps4
I play in a semi lit room so these settings might be bright but move down by 1
Mode :- Dynamic
Contrast :- 50
Brightness :- 31
Sharpness :- 16
Colour:- 36

I Fell off a sofa once you have to laugh

Hope this helps also use Game mode and try the settings i never touch the RGB but as i said im a geek so its all about reference

I'm very tempted to buy a refurb off Panasonic ebay for £169.99. I only want it as a bedroom tv.
