£579 with a six year warranty

Thank you, added.
Ahh, if I could get a new TV right now I think THIS would be it. Great deal!!!
How is this when playing with a ps4?
Was going to buy this but mixed reviews also built by Vestel not directly by Panasonic.
after looking at the new lg 4k tvs nothing will do need a spare 3500 smackers though
Not bothering with plastic TV's as have just sold the Sony 50" Android W80C posted here a couple of weeks ago and to which i succumbed and bought one from Amazon. I was not impressed with it. Will look at quality 4K next year and it will not be a Sony.

I've just bought the new Sony Bravia Smart Android TV and there isn't any plastic on it,so I'm guessing it's a different model...

Omg thanks for warning
Yes some manufacturers for their low end range are using Vestel etc to manufacture the sets.

48" is a bit small for 4k, no?

Many reports show that the benefits of 4k on smaller screen will not be noticeable compared to 1080p once you get past a certain distance. You would have to sit quite close to benefit. Have a look various viewing distance calculator tools. Google is your friend :-)

Go for the Samsung, this is no better quality than a supermarket own brand TV.
Based on hisense deal form Ao.com yesterday, you can buy it from there with the code SUPER40 and get it for £544.

Plus if you've got one of the AMEX cards in the offers on todays deals, theres another £30 off. network.americanexpress.com/con…114

Yes definitely 1080 is fine at these sizes
Had a tv built by vestel before , never again.
be aware that Panasonic does not include any upscaler at all, picture will be slightly degraded than your 1080p set, unless you watch 4k of course

not a proper comparison - Samsung does not have 3D!

3d will not upscale on any 4ktv, can only work at 1080p therefore picture will be degraded too compared to a proper 3D 1080p. Do what I did, get or keep both, lol
The fact there are no reviews for this would worry me. Good price if listing features is your main concern..

I have this TV, but mine was cheap, mine was £579 from Tesco, used club card vouchers and staff discount and paid £455, then sold my Samsung plasma 3d TV for £200 so this cost me £255 really. It's great !! The pictures look 'live' and the quality is ace! This is defiantly a good buy with the john Lewis guarantee, my review is up in Tesco direct too. Be aware you may need a new TV stand as the legs being far apart I had to get a mounted stand

Thats what the site's for mate. You're doing the right thing !
Personally though, I'd prob prefer the Panasonic
Thought the CX400 was supposed to be quad core not single core ?

I was generally recommending any Samsung over this rebadged Vestel.
Mixed reviews and as pointed out several times this TV is not made by Panasonic, it is made for them and rebadged.

Depends how far away you sit.
Is all this heat cos of the tv or the warranty?
gunner786

because the majority do not know it is made by Vestel, they just see the Panasonic name and associate it with quality.

Good news is that this has HDCP 2.2 on three of the HDMI sockets so there's a good chance it'll work with UltraHD blu-ray
