Seen new ones on here for £350 but this is a lot cheaper, yes a refurb but direct from Panasonic (their ebay store). Not badly priced at £249.99 for a 50" TV.

Decent price for a good TV, we need a second one but have been looking for a cheap price may go the refurb route at this price

My god that's a bargain

Got this TV at home and its got a great picture! only downside is some backlight bleed in the bottom right

Refurbished Vestel ? No, thanks... even for this money !

Doesn't post to NI. Thank You so much...

Please note and a heads up, this will have the Vestel branded panel (screen).

HUKD

would rather pay bit more for 42inch Sony than a rebranded vestel tbh but each to their own

Just to state the whole vestel bullcrud doesn't matter, for £250 its a fantastic price and the picture quality is great as I have one myself. Yes the build quality isn't as good as a £400-500 TV, but its half the price!!!

Looks good, but their warranty will cost you to send the TV to them, unless it's faulty in the first 14 days.

How can you say "picture quality is great" ?.. if you mentioned "backlight bleed in the bottom right" in previous comment ?!
I understand price is everything for you

With tents the 'you get what you pay for' rule rarely doesn't apply. As for this tent I wouldn't trust it one bit here in the UK with our unpredictable weather especially if hiking because chances are you'll be in the worst place possible when it starts to let you down.

"rarely doesn't apply"? Did that mean, usually applies?

Bought it at this price. Will sell my 42" for £100-£150

What's better , red wine from a winery in France or Argentina or tesco? Those who think tesco will be happy with this not really a Panasonic set because it's cheap but those who do know there TVs will see you can get the new model in richer sounds for £399 smart with wifi or better still Samsung !

And also has 5 year warranty ,this set will die on month 13

Nothing is wrong with panasonic tellys but this isnt a panasonic telly!!

Its all to do with model numbers! Do some research and you will see this isnt made by panasonic and is purely made for the uneducated consumers (like you probably) who will buy a TV from Asda!

Nothing, except this model is apparently not a Panasonic, it's a Vestel with a Panasonic badge. Nothing wrong with Vestel per se - they manufacture low-end value TVs, not high-end, and badge them for supermarkets and own-brand outlets. Regardless, this seems to be a lot of TV for the money for those that have realistic expectations from the manufacturer.

Who are more obssessed on price than quality! I paid £600 for my panasonic tv after doing extensive reviews on it years ago and is still going strong , in this case you will get what you pay for so if you are not too fussed on spec or picture quality and dont mind if it last you a year or so because its cheap then fill your boots! Personally i am a tv geek and research what to buy and what not to buy and dont just go by the price on face value (or screen size)

The clues shoud be "refurbished" and a 12 month gaurantee (mine had 5 year guarantee as standard)

AHh fair nuffs. Like the supermarket stuff you find then! Didnt expect Panasonic to use non Panasonic stuff tbh (Well I half expect them to use SHarp/Samsung stuff)

A mate of mines bought one of these, lovely picture I thought but only watched it for a couple of hours, certainly could do a lot worse for £250 which is pennies for a tv.

Just watch out for lack of physical buttons for volume etc its got some crappy scroll wheel on the back, not cool.

hot deal

great deal!! cheers!!

This is not real Panasonic.therefore Cold.

Panasonic TVs are fantastic, but lately many cheaper models are no longer made by Panasonic, instead some poor quality, generic pannels made by a Turkish company are used inside.in short they only have the Panasonic name, but inside there is no Panasonic.
The mid range and high end models are real Panasonic.

Same is true about almost all new Toshiba,Sharp,JVC (and more) TVs in UK market.

What's the problem with Vestel? As far as I can tell, the only companies that don't license their name to Vestel are Samsung and Sony - good luck getting a 50-inch one of those for £250!

Cheap junk.....for something that gets a lot of use and is watched daily there is no point buying a wishy washy piece of junk like this.....save yer $$ folks and buy a decent TV like a Blaupunkt or Alba.....

cracking deal. no harm in refurbished providing they offer a warranty

I contacted them re another TV and they were prepared to send to Belfart (spelling intentional).

Sony do (or did) make a tv model specifically for argos a few years back ! Its not uncommon but like I say for people who only care about price and see the name then its fine for them, I always buy my tech from richer sounds best place to go on the high street for normal affordable brands and they are impartial but again comes down to personal choice some people may think this really is the TV for them , I think Samsung make the best panels these days and still pretty cheap
