Product information

The 55CX680 is one of Panasonics Smart TVs which delivers vibrant, crisp and clear images. Displayed in a picture quality which is four times that of high-definition, the 55-inch television offers a wealth of entertainment at your fingertips. And with Quad-Core Pro and Local Dimming across the screen, your television viewing experience has never been so immersive.

4K Ultra HD
Delivering four times the picture resolution of a standard high-definition TV, you’ll be looking at a picture which is so detailed and pristine it may feel like you are looking at the real world, rather than the TV screen. Coupled with 3840 x 2160 pixels are features such as high brightness/high colour space panels and the powerful Quad Core Pro Engine. These are on hand to tease out every last, tiny detail which 4K Ultra-High definition has to offer.

Quad Core Pro
Powering the advanced Smart features and 4K picture quality is a Quad Core Pro engine. Cleverly separating the Smart TV processing from the picture processing, the engine enables the Smart elements to run faster and smoother while pictures look cleaner, crisper and more refined – regardless of whether they’re web streams, broadcasts, Blu-rays or 4K feeds.

Local dimming
LCD screens are great for boosting colours and vibrancy, but they can only truely improve contrast if the brightness in dark areas is controlled. Local dimming makes this possible by letting separate clusters of backlights, output different brightness levels. This means that brightness areas can be reduced for dark areas, without compromising the intensity of bright areas.

Studio master colour
By using unique Wide Colour Phosphor Technology capable of producing a wider colour range, the advanced LED backlight covers more than 90% of DCI standards. Studio Master Colour TVs give you a more subtle, naturally toned colour palette which, unlike most LCD TVs, still looks authentic in any scene.

my Home Screen 2.0
Powered by Firefox OS, “my Home Screen” provides quick and intuitive access to the content you want. Expected to be renewed as a single gateway to all the broadcasting channels, apps and connected devices, “my Home Screen” will ensure that you stay on track with all the latest technology developments and content.

Internet Apps
Use a variety of apps on across the Panasonic 55” TV screen. Cloud services let you easily use full-fledged, large-data games and a wealth of content services, so you can quickly switch over from watching TV to playing games.
*Internet service required. Available contents may vary by product, model, location and may require fees. Specifications and product information are subject to change.

New Freeview Play
This Panasonic TV is among the first to feature Freeview Play. Combining catch-up TV, on-demand services and live television, watching what you want, when you want, is now easier than ever. It’s free from subscription and is compatible with existing broadband services too. Services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5 are also available without having to open specific applications. This gives effortless scroll back so you never miss a second of your favourite shows.

Cracking deal, that's less than I paid for the 50 inch version of this. Great TV. Netflix in 4k looks fantastic.

Maybe it's worth paying a bit more for something with HDR? This looks like a really nice TV though and is very tempting at this price and from a good retailer.

great price

Out of stock now

Balls! Been waiting for a TV deal like this for weeks!!
