Fantastic tv beautiful picture quality brought the exact same one during Xmas for £100 more.

I love this tv, just a shame about plex not working well on it.

Leader in its class.

Shame panasonics have no decent apps. Not much point having a "smart" TV with just iplayer and Netflix. Pity as it's a lovely TV.

Brought my last TV from JL and it had a problem (Samsung) their customer service was excellent in getting it replaced. If anyone finds this slightly cheaper keep in mind what the 5 yr warranty and the customer service alone has to be worth a good few quid.

I have a shed load of apps on my Samsung, I don't use them though, I use my TV to watch TV and movies, I use my PC or tablet to play with apps (_;)

A TV like this should last 5 years or more so the apps will likely be outdated well before then. If you require a lot of apps and updated ones better to go for a separate device that can be updated or replaced easily.

Not a fan of that interface. Looks like something out of the early 2000s.

If you want more functionality from a TV outside of watching the usual things, you should buy a cheap HTPC which aren't tied to a closed platform and let you do much more than any "smart" TV can.

Do they have the 65" version for £100 more??

Dnt blame you the picture quality bowls you other it more than makes up for the lack of apps.

I got it mainly to watch sports and movies not apps so it meets my needs perfectly.

AA didn't buy two, he was just correcting the (annoying) spelling mistake of the two posters he had quoted. (including yourself)

Namely, brought should be bought.

Don't get for gaming, these have a poor delay.

Even if they are this tv will never see them. From experience this tv is unlikely to even see a firmware update from now on.

If you want the apps to be kept up to date go for a Samsung tv with smart hub. This means even 3 year old tvs can still get the latest apps even if they are slower than modern tvs for working them.

wow!! great!!

Ordered this is £1,098 in costco with the 5 year guarantee.

I've had this TV for just under 6 months now and I think it's great, streams very well from my NAS and the picture quality is great. Yes the blacks aren't black as it's LED but I'm glad I bought this set. I'm not a heavy 'SMART' user so I couldn't tell you whether it lacks in that department though. It came to a choice between this and the equivalent Samsung model (can't remember which) but aesthetically this was miles ahead and the picture quality looked the same.

is this the same as the ET60?

Exactly the same except for different stand

yes, just with a different stand (exclusive to JL)

What is the in built media player like for playing 3d files back on this. Does it play either Half SBS or Half OU 3D files with DTS Sound through it, or will I need a standalone media player

I'd say this is a great deal

Excellent TV and a great price - have the smaller model (I think 46" or 47") last year and am very impressed with the picture quality and functionality. Only extra thing that I wish it had would be am Amazon Prime Video app, but I may just get a Roku stick or something of that ilk to fill that need.

For the owners of this set how is it with motion handling i.e football? In the market for a new tv and was debating between the Panasonic L50E6 or L55E60. The E6 has a VA panel which has deep blacks where as this model has an IPS panel which has better viewing angle but weaker blacks according to reviews anyway.

Torture trying to find the perfect tv!

isn't the new sony bravia w829 50 inch the perfect tv. They fixed the black level issues has 800hz and has a better display

*Not related to prodcuct*. Please educate me. Why do people say 'brought' when it should be 'bought'. Nothing personal, it seem's common.

There were a few things about the Sony that put me off. I had read on a few user reviews that the tv was quite dull compared to other similar tv's. One user on here in fact said he returned the tv as he thought the pic quality was poor. I also wall mount my tv via a Vesa mount and i sure as hell wasn't paying Sony for a vesa mount adaptor.

I have since ordered this tv anyway from JL so thanks op for sharing. If its rubbish i'll send it back for the Sony

guys i said this was £1,098 in costco, i lied its actually £1,199 !!!!

Hello, the panasonic does not have a nice plex interface like Samsung & LG. It's more like folders rather than the nice pics & naratives. It's probably worth going on youtube & typing in plex on Panasonic tv & compare to LG.... It's all down to preferences really.

Got this tv on friday to replace my PS51F5500 plasma. Was a bit sceptical going from Plasma to LED but i made the right choice as the picture (once calibrated) is incredible. On SD not so much but feed it an HD source and its very very good. Bargain for £899.
