Doesn't look full HD but not a bad price if you're after a 42"

The Panasonic TX-P42C2B 42" HD Ready Plasma TV incorporates VIERA V-Real 4 image processing technology to deliver an incredibly immersive viewing experience! You'll enjoy a picture imbued with deep, rich colours, with 100Hz Double Scan technology incorporated so that fast-paced action is rendered with superb fluidity.

With a dual HDMI interface, you'll also be able to connect High Definition devices such as a Blu-ray player or game console to the Panasonic VIERA TX-P42C2-B 42" HD Ready Plasma TV to fully exploit its potential. A powerful audio performance is provided through the two 10W stereo speakers, ably assisted by V-Audio Surround sound technology.

A DVB-T Freeview TV tuner is integrated to provide you with a broad choice of digital television channels and radio stations, including all of your existing BBC and ITV favourites.

Other attractive features of this stylish VIERA TX-P42C2-B 42" HD Ready Plasma TV include 24p mode for viewing movies at their original frame rate, and the VIERA Image Viewer. The latter provides an SD card slot so you can view your JPEG photos and AVCHD or MPEG2 videos on the TV screen.

Really no excuse to only have 2xHDMI sockets.

good price for a good brand.

why not?

sky hd/cable HD and blu ray.
thats all I use

Your forgetting an Xbox360 or PS3 which a lot of homes have these days.

Would expect a minimum of 3 really to make full use of it. Possibly 4 if you would like to connect your PC up to it also.

Many other uses, such as a camera or a games console.

Pleased with mine, bought in June. If you want more hdmi connections buy a different model. Doesn't have built in HD as it is 720HD ready. Looks great with SkyHD ( that's not a plug by the way ) but SD (ordinary) pics can be poor, just like other lcd/led/plasmas. Sound will be good enough for most people but it's better when connecting your own speakers. Very pleased with ours, definitely one of the better pictures I've seen ( and I've looked at many ). Happier buying this than other pannys at £699, not enough difference for me to justify paying the extra. B in law bought the zx81 version for about £900 18 months ago and he well cheesed off. Don't listen to the 'but it's not 1080p' crowd, get down there, judge picture for yourself and then decide.

I only seem to get 50hz and not 100hz double scan. Any thoughts on this ? Any help gladly appreciated
