judging by the 42" version of this tv which my sis bought and it only lasted a month i would go for the LG but i will add that the picture was amazing in HD

It's pretty good but after a bit of reading about for £40 more I'd sooner buy the TX-P42G20B
Ok, so you lose a few inches but the screen specs are quite a lot higher. Sadly I just missed an Amazon deal that would've but the 42" G down to a similar price to this (last night)...I'll sit tight a while longer I reckon.

if a TV doesnrt have USB movie playback I wont be buying it

thats a must and Panasonics dont seem to have USb slots

Another good reason to go for the 'G'
It even supports recording and buffering of live TV to USB HDD apparently, albeit selected hard drive manufacturers (Buffalo)

Out of curiousity I tried the usb hard drive option (don't need it, just needed to know that the feature worked). I tried it on a Belkin usb drive and it worked fine. the drive is locked to the g20 though - don't expect it to multi task elsewhere!

i have the 46" S10 and that is awesome, hot hot hot, Panasonic are awesome plasmas

check this review for the 42"

it does have an sd card slot and i believe it is also divx hd

i have this tv and payed a lot more than this but worth every penny

HOT!!

the G20 was same price on amazon last week.

No USB and does not support DIVX playback according to the manufacturer

No it wasn't - you may be referring to the smaller 42" screen?

It was actually, the G20 was £647 but Amazon were offering another £40 off with a code, which expired on Friday I believe.

D'oh. ABout 2 mins after posting I realised I was comparing the S vs the G versions both at 42". Sorry 'bout that.

is this an LED? If not, is it worth getting an LED?

One year warranty?
