Yep i thought that due to when it was 1st listed on amazon. As posted above. Considering i need a 37" as the 40" seem to have S-PVA panels which have horrible ghosting,ISP or A-MVA i need and i don't want to pay £432 for the 37" c580 when i paid £388 for the 40 which i sent back. That is why its hot from me as i need to avoid S-PVA and need a tv asap. I am still hoping amazon price match otherwise i may end up waiting for new samsung range myself.

I will only get it if amazon lower,as amazon has a really good return policy unlike the likes of other big companys.(i tried to return a tv 5 months ago 1 day after recieving as it was too big and dixons wouldn't let me as it wasn't faulty and id turned it on. Unlike amazon when at most all i would have to do is pay return shipping costs or better yet nothing.John lewis are good to i heard.)

Going to have to take the heat out of this one. Got all excited that I found a TV with the specs at a price point that was good, then hit by none in your location when I try to order.Shame on you PCworld.

Amazon is the best online retailer! Excellent returns, excellent customer service, excellent service overall. You can't beat Amazon.

Good luck buying one!

red hot deal awesome

Great price price for a great TV - if you can get one it's hot!

This size was going for £579 at local panasonic dealer with 5 year warranty.... they have now dropped it to £499 but no mentioned of 5 year warranty so can't post as a deal.

PANASONIC TXL37G20B"

Laughable. I've had nothing but trouble with PC World online, absolutely shocking company. COLD!

Not available in mine either-think it'll prove tricky to get hold of one but good deal if you can!

It's avaliable in my area, but is it worth buying, because people are saying that Amazon could price match. I have already ordered this TV, is it worth cancelling that for this?

The message "this item is not available for immediate delivery in your area" is a familiar one.
I tried to get a tv from Dixons a few weeks ago and got the same identical message.
I had to get an account with them before I got as far as this message.

They are a despicable bunch of rogues imho.

I would go with the panasonic due to the Freeview HD and Free Sat HD that philips looks like it just has freeview

Spoken to Customer services, its online only and no stock available. Was hoping to get a price match from Comet as I've got some vouchers to get rid of

Yeah but is the extra £100 worth it, considering that the Philips does come with 5 year warranty.

Yeah can record to USB and play media of USB also streams and has IP TV (although last time I checked no iplayer or the likes) Great TV though paid £700 for this last year!

The issue of customer service and after sales ought to be serious consideration when judging whether something is a hot deal. If you're going to get nothing but trouble at the point of purchasing or if you find yourself having to return an item then this tends to nullify the fact that you might have saved a few quid.

Certain chains have notoriously bad reputations for customer service and after sales so if an item (particularly a high value item like a TV) is just a few pounds more from a company that generally (and there will always be exceptions to the rule) has a proven good reputation then pay the few pounds more.

I worked for the CAB many years ago and an adviser from Trading Standards who used to come in once a week to provide free consumer advice sessions always said buy from John lewis and never from Currys/Dixons/PC World.

WHICH? has carried out recent surveys of the best online and high street retailers and for electrical items John lewis, Richer Sounds Apple, and independent stores came out as best hight street retailers with the likes of comet, currys, pc world lagging far behind.

For online stores that sell electrical goods, John lewis, Amazon ,Richer Sounds, 7 day shop and Hughes Direct were all table toppers with comet, pixmania and currys being low scorers.

This should be removed from their website, or they should give available postcodes.

Was all excited thinking it was the G20 Plasma but it is just an LCD, oh well have to keep looking I suppose.

Don't Panasonic cover most of the screen in adverts on their EPG, leaving just a small portion of the screen for the guide? I found that to be unacceptable, so purchased another brand.

Not available in the Coventry area either. Shame, as I was tempted.

I got one for £515 - with 5 year guarantee

Another deal from pcworld with non in stock.. I wish they would tell you before youu sign up a account...

At least they can send me crap email now...

hmm nice little upgrade that from my 720p panny

Yeah horizontal line bleed, image retention, off whites and phosphor trailing. Who would want an LCD?

just been to get 1 and no stock anywhere, good luck finding one as he said no stock in curry/pc in the uk (yeah right), stopped selling them over a month ago

Me ! Burn in and picture noise are more of a problem as they are more noticable to someone who knows nothing. Plasma doesn't suit my needs for monitor use followed by gaming. I have tried a plasma before you ask (pk590) I tried to get this tv but same message.I was more hoping it would work so amazon would price match. Both have + and - and the new 30 range panasonic plasmas are ment to be good.

great price!! time to change my old acoustic solutions 37" in my bedroom methinks!!!
