Who would pay that for 3d, you have to sit in your house with glasses on, the side view is shocking. I dont think its going to take off you know.

I'll "like" that just because I think it's funny
Don't get me wrong, there's no way of knowing whether it'll catch on or not, but all the naysayers when HD came out were doing the same.

I'm afraid it's here to stay, just like HD is now Why can't people just go out and try one of these TVs - most people who have seen my Samsung one are AMAZED by the effects - Agreed the prices are still quite high, but dropping now and this is a really good deal for an excellent set, especially with the 'extras' - Voted HOT!!!

not impressed myself and neither was the wife, we also felt like a right pair of lemons with them silly glasses on too, sorry not for me at the moment, i believe toshiba are developing a system that's silly spec free so will look at that when i need a new tv.

I couldn't care less about 3D. Maybe when the price comes down to the current levels of HD I'll look again but the technology is not convincing. Side view is appalling and the cost is ludicrously disproportionate to the hardware upgrade in the tv. It only takes the addition of a relatively cheap component and they charge £500 for it.
Rip-off.

Its not a rip off..We have it too good in this country everything is under priced. Washing machines 30 years ago 2 months salary..20 years 1 months salary. Now 1/3 weeks salary and people expect the same reliability. Everything has gone abroad to save costs so its all foreign. They need to get some money for the TV whilst the technology is new otherwise they can't invest in tomorrows technology.

You obviously have not seen this TV then, I own it and you can see the 3D effects from the side just fine!! And these 3D TVs happen to be the best 2D Tvs on the market as well if you happen to read the reviews.

Forget about the merits of 3d, this is still a good deal.
Could someone who has this telly tell me the merits of it vs the Sony hx803 or nx713?
