    I don't really know if people still buy Zinc Carbon, but considering the collection or delivery fee, you can buy 10 Panasonic cheaper from Amazon for about £2.25.
    Also £1 normal price in pretty much in every cheap shop, below is one example.

    Not seen this price for AA batteries for a long time! Good for everyday stuff such as clocks, kids toys etc..

    Really??? These are going for a quid in most pound shops, zinc carbon batteries are cheap as chips, heck go to Primark and you get good quality alkalines for £1.40 a pack.

    What's the difference in wall clocks etc between these and the Duracell ones. I read somewhere once that these should be used in low power devices ie remote controls, clocks etc, why??

    different power usage i guess? some give a strong boost then die out, whilst others give a low steady flow thats not enough to power anything strong but lasts a while..

    anyone happy to correct me here if Im wrong!
