I kinda agree...my Hitachi plasma (genuine, not the Argos rebrand stuff) was better at motion than my E6, but the OLED's motion is not a deal breaker. The E6's picture quality is much better - black is pitch black, colour is colourful, and this outweighs the plasma's positives. Each to their own :-)

daveykinetic

there's too much hype on oled tvs imo and I got sucked right into it. had the LG e6 but couldn't stand the splash type artefacts when using true motion. so I sold it and bought a Panasonic ez952. motion processing is allot better than LG but there is the occasional stutter with it. Imo oled tvs are terrible with motion processing off. the strobing is just too much for me due to the sample and hold technology. I'm very sensitive to it. I can't get over how bad the motion is compared to my panasonic vt65 plasma

But populism IS democracy. See Brexit or Trump election. Be careful what you wish for indeed!

GrimyRascal

Populism is no substitute for democracy, be careful what you wish for.

Enet

Best in class TV, good price, but not hundreds of pounds better than the LG B7 or even Sonys XF9005 LED. The LG C8 has the same issue which is why LG were offering cashback deals. This could go either way but personally I wouldn't have voted cold.

basil1234

sorry don't quite follow either, dts as said before is 5 channels of audio yet the telly only has 2 so why would you need to decode more channels than speakers available. anyone worth there salt has a seperate audio cinema set up or is that just me? basil :)

treb

It is the fault of panasonic, I have a sony and a samsung (1080p) which decode the audio. If you're only watching netflix and amazon prime etc then it's fine. I like to watch older stuff though that's not available on these services. I'd also be willing to bet that other brands using 4k are able to decode them also.

paulj48

Well that's hardly the fault of Panasonic, the TV has 2 channels of audio, a DTS soundtrack will normally have a minimum of 5 channels of audio and a LFE track so why would the TV be required to decode this signal? Are you sure the TV can't 'pass through' the DTS signal to a suitable decoder?

treb

No it's a perfectly valid question. I have a nas drive with lots of media on it, can't hear half the titles from it.

Awesome deal for GBP 267! Its a baby GH4. Shoot in 4k and then downsize to 1080 or use the higher resolution to zoom , pan or dolly on the timeline :) Bought via Currys. Will use now and upgrade to the GH5 next year!

ukaskew

The G7 deal is hugely impressive (net £267 on Currys now), surprised it hasn't been more popular here but I guess it's quite a niche product.

deejayone

Sorry, just seen this. No, they didn't confirm, just suggested I gave them a call to see if they'd sell it and deliver it at that price.

emptypocketz

So one has to go to manchester to get this? :) Ill keep trying the link seems a bargain... I hate paying too much for phones or camera or camcorders... things like that should be around £100 that way if it breaks or gets lost its a minor thing.

Dee did they confirm it was still that price in Mancester?

Still £169.99 in Sheffield's Panasonic store. Was told by the staffer; "I don't know how the hell Manchester have them on at that price, it's ridiculous!" Good deal for those who can get to the Manchester store though!

Look at the price of the top end Panasonic TV's. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/9155878/600000-TV-on-sale-in-Harrods.html

unrandomsam

The cheapest one costs twice as much as an ipad. (The Windows 8 ones are 4 times the price.) If you are buying the £600,000 that Costco sells TV I suppose you can likely get anything you want thrown in. (Presuming you go direct to Panasonic).

Panasonic make the best tablets (Toughpad) and TV's. (And laptops for that matter Toughbook).

Great reviews! Ordered, thanks.

the-bunker

It's a lot better than the EVO 3D - that is a camera phone from a company with no decent reputation in making cameras. This deal is for a compact camera from a manufacturer with a reputation for making excellent cameras - and this camera is no exception. However, in terms of 3D capabilities, this camera does have some limitations - 1. You can't zoom while filming video in 3D 2. You can't view the images in 3D on the camera itself - you have to put them on a 3D TV or 3D monitor. Personally I think the Fujifilm W3 is a better 3D camera - the IQ is not quite as good as the Panasonic (& tbh the Fuji camera looks naff), but the "eyes" are further apart & therefore creates a stronger 3D effect. 3D movies are rubbish on the Fuji though - so if you want to make 3D movies, then get the Sony 3D camcorder - HDR TD10 or TD20.

chris-afc

OP has posted for benefit of people who have already bought a qualifying TV and may not be aware of the free glasses offer. OP clearly says " it should come in handy for anyone who has recently bought a Panasonic 3d tv". People need to read before they get abusive and even if you don't like it give some credit to someone who has made an effort to post it for your benefit.

Unquizzical

How do you save a deal to ur profile?

Probably because they are getting rid of stock as the newer Panasonic 3d TV's are passive so much less headaches :)

Users of this site should not have to put up with crap for sharing deals they have found. If the deal is not good in your opinion just say why in good English and vote it cold. No need to insult people. HotDeals admins need to get more aggressive with abusive users, or people will just switch off and go to a rival site.
