sorry don't quite follow either, dts as said before is 5 channels of audio yet the telly only has 2 so why would you need to decode more channels than speakers available. anyone worth there salt has a seperate audio cinema set up or is that just me?

Well that's hardly the fault of Panasonic, the TV has 2 channels of audio, a DTS soundtrack will normally have a minimum of 5 channels of audio and a LFE track so why would the TV be required to decode this signal? Are you sure the TV can't 'pass through' the DTS signal to a suitable decoder?

Bought via Currys. Will use now and upgrade to the GH5 next year!

The G7 deal is hugely impressive (net £267 on Currys now), surprised it hasn't been more popular here but I guess it's quite a niche product.

odd that they don't offer their own panasonic tablets with the TV.

The cheapest one costs twice as much as an ipad. (The Windows 8 ones are 4 times the price.)

There are ones with much better performance and much better battery life out there. Also to my knowledge google have never made a tablet. The Nexus 4 is made by LG, Nexus 7 is made by Asus and the Nexus 10 by Samsung. But yeah - even if I wanted the iPad I couldn't justify spending this much on a TV, good for those that are on the look out for a high spec TV though!

This deal is for a compact camera from a manufacturer with a reputation for making excellent cameras - and this camera is no exception. However, in terms of 3D capabilities, this camera does have some limitations - 1. You can't zoom while filming video in 3D2. You can't view the images in 3D on the camera itself - you have to put them on a 3D TV or 3D monitor.Personally I think the Fujifilm W3 is a better 3D camera - the IQ is not quite as good as the Panasonic (& tbh the Fuji camera looks naff), but the "eyes" are further apart & therefore creates a stronger 3D effect. 3D movies are rubbish on the Fuji though - so if you want to make 3D movies, then get the Sony 3D camcorder - HDR TD10 or TD20.

OP has posted for benefit of people who have already bought a qualifying TV and may not be aware of the free glasses offer. OP clearly says " it should come in handy for anyone who has recently bought a Panasonic 3d tv". People need to read before they get abusive and even if you don't like it give some credit to someone who has made an effort to post it for your benefit.

How do you save a deal to ur profile?

Probably because they are getting rid of stock as the newer Panasonic 3d TV's are passive so much less headaches

Ashburnham1

You've got off fairly lightly really if you care to review most of the postings on this site. Just do your research beforehand and then plan before you scribe a posting. You'll then soon get the hang of things.

Users of this site should not have to put up with crap for sharing deals they have found. If the deal is not good in your opinion just say why in good English and vote it cold. No need to insult people. HotDeals admins need to get more aggressive with abusive users, or people will just switch off and go to a rival site.

One box inside a much larger one with no padding between them.Reasonably impressed although I'm not impressed at all with the manual focussing. I'd be interested to hear what other people find if they try the following:Go to maximum zoom on an object 5m or so away. Do this inside and set the camera up on a tripod. I'm getting a shutter time of 1 to 1.3 seconds. Manually focus on an object and take a shot. Mine will autofocus fine but won't be sharp manually. If I take off the image stabilisation then it works so perhaps that's a quirk of this lens (or any telephoto for that matter, don't know enough about it). There's a real danger that I might read the manual so I'd be interested in what others have found.I've only tried it inside so looking forward to having a play with it over the next few days. My suspicion is that this is going to turn out to be a great lens for the money. Thanks to the OP for the heads up.

Theres a lot of talk on the forums about this lens having a major issue with OIS at low shutter speeds causing a double/blurred effect. Mine has arrived now and I am going to test it at the weekend to see if it makes my photos blury when OIS is enabled.
