Only read the one Hamilton book myself, but it was pretty good (good enough for me to add him to my eReaderIQ list - which is where this deal sprang from), so if you like sci-fi you might want to give him a go. Lots of people complain that his books are a bit long, with too much detail, but I like the more in depth "space opera" type stuff. Worth a try for 99p.

Peter F. Hamilton is one of those authors whose chosen format is the multi-volume novel, so one story is generally split over multiple books, rather than books in a series being related but independent stories.

Although unlike some of the more recent examples (A Song of Fire & Ice Etc.) he does keep it to a reasonable two or three books.

As such, buying a single book is likely to have either a disappointing ending or lots of stuff without context depending on which number it is. When buying one of his stories you really have to buy multiple books. In this case the story is told over Pandora's Star and Judas Unchained.

He's a good writer though, and it's worth the money.
Commonwealth Saga is absolutely brilliant 99p is insane value for this book!
Fabulous book, you will want Judas Unchained! They are my favourite PFH books.
Best science fiction writer around at the moment. Great book and series.

Best books are the nights Dawn trilogy, hefty reading though as they are about 1000 pages per book.

Well worth the effort, you may find more books need reading though as they are addictive.
Between Peter F Hamilton, Alastair Reynolds and Neal Asher British Sci-fi readers are spoilt rotten. Just imagine if Iain Banks was still around?
I've read all of PFH's books except the Mandel series and they're all great.
If this is the series with Morning Light Mountain then it's one of my favourite books by any author. Only negative thing I can say about him is he seems a bit obsessed with icky sex scenes.
